VWAP Trade Genie: Rolling VWAP Mean-Reversion Scanner with Multi-Factor Confluence
VWAP Trade Genie finds daily pullbacks that stretch away from a rolling volume-weighted average price inside an established trend. It then checks each one against a seven-factor market-structure engine and ranks the survivors. You get a short, graded list of setups with entry, stop, targets and a suggested lot size, instead of hours spent scrolling charts.
2. WHAT THIS INDICATOR DOES
Most traders face two problems: finding worthwhile pullbacks across many symbols, and deciding whether each one deserves attention. This indicator handles both. It scans your Market Watch, applies a defined daily mean-reversion rule set, filters out weak or stale candidates, and presents the four highest-scoring signals in a clickable on-chart dashboard.
It is an analysis and signal tool. It does not place, modify or close trades.
3. HOW THE TECHNOLOGY WORKS
It builds a 10-day rolling VWAP from daily bars, using real volume where the broker provides it and tick volume otherwise.
It evaluates three core rules on each closed daily bar: Williams %R(10) extreme, price position versus EMA(100), and price at least 1% away from the VWAP.
When all three agree, it assumes entry at the next daily open.
It scores the setup on the H4 timeframe with seven structure and momentum factors.
It applies execution filters for spread, stale signals and, optionally, high-impact news.
It calculates stop-loss, two targets and a risk-based lot size, then grades the signal from 0 to 100.
4. CORE FEATURES
Rolling VWAP mean-reversion logic. It targets price displaced from fair value in the direction of the larger trend, rather than chasing breakouts.
Market Watch scanner. One click scans every tradable symbol in Market Watch. Auto-rescan can be switched on at a chosen interval.
Entry Terminal confluence engine. It checks seven factors: CHoCH market-structure regime, unmitigated fair value gap, valid rejected block, DMI bias, momentum direction, Elder Force direction, and a touch of the 0.382–0.618 Fibonacci entry box.
Signal grading. Each signal receives a 0–100 score and an A+/A/B/C grade based on confluence, %R depth and VWAP distance.
Built-in lot calculator. It sizes the position from your risk percentage and the stop distance.
Economic-calendar news filter. It flags high-impact events for the symbol's currencies within a configurable window.
Simulated trade history. It draws recent signal boxes with their outcome expressed in R-multiples, so you can see how the logic has behaved on that symbol.
5. BUY AND SELL SIGNALS
With default settings:
Buy: Williams %R(10) is below -80, the daily close is above the EMA(100), and the close is more than 1% below the rolling VWAP.
Sell: the mirror image. %R is above -20, the close is below the EMA(100), and the close is more than 1% above the VWAP.
Signals are evaluated on closed daily bars only. Entry is the next daily open, with one position per symbol at a time. Each rule can be switched off, and buys or sells can be disabled separately. With God-Mode on, a signal must also reach at least 3 confluence points to appear.
6. TRADE SETUP INTERPRETATION
Treat each signal as a candidate, not a command. A buy is a pullback below the VWAP inside an uptrend, and a sell is the reverse. Higher grades mean more confluence factors agree and the stretch from the VWAP is deeper. Read the factor flags (STR, FVG, RB, DMI, MOM, EFI, FIB) to see which ones supported it. No signal is guaranteed to work, and some will be stopped out.
7. CONFIRMATION AND FILTERS
Confluence filter. The default minimum is 3 points, computed on H4.
Spread filter. It rejects a signal if the spread exceeds 30% of the stop distance.
Stale-signal rejection. By default, only entries from the last daily bar or today are kept. With God-Mode on, a signal is also dropped if its first target has already been reached.
News filter. It warns of high-impact events within 240 minutes by default. It can optionally drop those signals entirely.
God-Mode. One switch that forces the confluence, spread and stale-signal rules on.
8. CHART VISUALIZATION
On your chart you get the rolling VWAP, the ±1% trigger lines, the EMA(100), and green and red trade boxes with entry arrows. The boxes carry entry, SL, TP1 and TP2 levels, lot size, risk in money and live outcome. Market-structure overlays include CHoCH/BOS lines, rejected blocks, fair value gaps, the Fibonacci entry box and the daily open line. A top-right info panel shows %R, VWAP distance, EMA position, core-rule status, structure regime, ADX/DMI and the last signal. The left-hand dashboard holds the scan button, news status and the top four signals. Clicking a signal opens a dedicated chart window with its full setup.
9. SUPPORTED TIMEFRAMES AND MARKETS
Signals are always calculated on daily data, confluence on H4, and the default stop reference on H1. You can attach the indicator to any chart timeframe. It can scan any symbol in Market Watch that has enough daily history; around 140 daily bars are needed at default settings. Compatibility with specific brokers or instrument classes has not been verified, and the news filter relies on your broker's MT5 economic calendar.
10. USER SETTINGS
Strategy: VWAP window, %R period and levels, EMA period, VWAP distance %.
Stops and targets: stop mode (nearest swing, ATR, or recent swing), swing timeframe, pip buffer and pip-size override, TP1 and TP2 reward ratios (1:1 and 1:2 by default).
Risk: risk percentage and whether it is based on balance or equity.
Confluence: timeframe, minimum score and each of the seven factors on or off.
Filters and scanner: spread limit, news blocking, signal age, auto-scan interval.
Alerts and display: pop-up and push notifications, chart theme, overlays.
11. INSTALLATION AND ACTIVATION
Copy the file into MQL5/Indicators and refresh the Navigator.
Drag the indicator onto any chart.
Enable alerts in the platform if you want pop-ups, and add push notifications through your MetaQuotes ID if wanted.
Add the symbols you want checked to Market Watch.
Click SCAN MARKET WATCH on the dashboard.
By default the indicator changes the chart to a white background with no grid and black and blue candles. You can turn this off.
12. PRACTICAL TRADING PROCEDURE
Run a scan after the daily bar has opened.
Review the top signals by grade, confluence count and news status.
Open the signal chart and check the structure zones, stop and targets.
Compare the current price to the entry level. If it has moved far, reassess or skip.
Place the trade manually, with the suggested lot as a starting point.
Manage it with the SL and targets, or with the optional close-through-VWAP exit.
13. RISK MANAGEMENT
Built in are the stop and target levels, a lot size based on a risk percentage and stop distance, a spread filter, and news warnings. Nothing is enforced automatically. You should also size positions conservatively, cap total open risk, and avoid stacking correlated trades.
14. LIMITATIONS AND TRANSPARENCY
The core signal uses closed daily bars, but the confluence score for a current-day signal reads recent H4 data and may change as new bars close.
The indicator draws historical boxes from a simulation. These are not live trading results and do not guarantee future outcomes.
Mean-reversion setups can fail in strong trends, and daily signals are infrequent.
Results depend on your broker's data, volume quality and spreads.
Tighter swing-based stops can be hit sooner and cause some signals to be filtered out.
15. WHO SHOULD USE THIS INDICATOR?
It suits swing and position traders who prefer daily-timeframe pullback setups, and multi-symbol traders who want a ranked shortlist. It is also useful for anyone who wants structure and momentum confirmation, news awareness and risk-based sizing in one tool. It is not intended for scalping.
16. WHY THIS INDICATOR DESERVES ATTENTION
It combines a clear VWAP trigger, a seven-factor confluence check, a graded ranking and a lot calculator in a single workflow. You can see why a signal exists, which factors supported it and where the stop and targets sit. Every filter is adjustable, so you can adapt it to your own method.
17. RISK DISCLAIMER
Trading leveraged products carries a high risk of loss. This indicator provides analysis only, and its signals are not investment advice or a promise of profit. Past or simulated results do not guarantee future performance. Test on a demo account first and risk only what you can afford to lose.
