OmniTrend Hybrid is an Expert Advisor (EA) for MetaTrader 5.
Multi-asset system: EURUSD, AUDUSD, USDCHF, USDJPY.
Signals: Stochastic + MACD.
Two operating modes:
1. Fully automated: The EA analyzes the market, identifies trading signals, and opens positions when specific conditions are met.
2. Semi-automated: The trader can manually select the trading direction using on-screen buttons, toggle operating modes, and halt trading, while maintaining control over the EA’s actions.
The system maintains one open position per currency pair.
The EA should be attached to the chart of the specific currency pair you wish to trade. For four pairs, you would open four separate charts, each with its own instance of the EA.
Indicator settings: Provided as a demonstration.
Users should configure the indicator settings themselves, taking into account the specific financial instrument, timeframe, trading strategy, and other relevant factors.
Automated and Semi-automated Modes
The EA offers the choice between fully autonomous operation and manual control via on-screen interface.
Automated Mode — AUTO
The EA independently monitors for trading signals and opens positions whenever the strategy’s criteria are satisfied.
Semi-automated Mode — BUY / SELL
Traders can use the on-screen BUY and SELL buttons to select the trading direction, allowing for direct control of the EA’s activity from the chart.
Stopping Trades — STOP
The STOP button is designed to halt all further trading activity by the EA.
Resetting the Halt — RESET STOP
The RESET STOP button is used to clear the "stop" status whenever necessary.
On-screen controls allow for interaction with the EA without the need to repeatedly open the settings menu to adjust parameters manually.
Take Profit Management
The system includes a Take Profit (TP) setting, which defines the target price level at which a position is closed to secure profit. The TP (Take Profit) value allows you to set a target for a trade based on your chosen trading parameters.
ProfitLock Mechanism
ProfitLock is designed to secure a portion of the potential profit on an open position.
This mechanism activates once the price has covered 50% of the distance from the entry point to the established Take Profit level.
The Expert Advisor (EA) offers several ProfitLock options: 25%, 30%, 35%, and 40%.
This mechanism enables additional profit-management logic as the price moves toward the target level.
Loss Control and Capital Protection
The Expert Advisor includes risk-control tools that operate at both the individual instrument level and the overall trading account level.
Loss Limits per Instrument
For each individual instrument, you can set a loss limit in monetary terms. This approach allows you to control the acceptable financial outcome for a specific trading position or instrument, in accordance with the EA’s built-in logic.
Overall Account Protection
Additionally, there is a mechanism to monitor total capital and halt trading if a specified limit on the account’s equity is reached.
These mechanisms are designed to limit risk and help ensure that trading remains aligned with your chosen protection parameters.
