Section 1: Context and Core Value
Stop Buying Pullbacks in Weak Trends That Never Resume
Active traders frequently encounter costly traps during corrective phases within apparent trends. Positions are often initiated during a retracement on the assumption that prevailing momentum will carry price forward, only for the move to turn into a full structural breakdown. Entering dips without verifying whether underlying trend strength is expanding or decelerating exposes accounts to severe drawdowns. Volatile wicks in fading trends frequently shake out early positions, while entering after momentum has already dissipated leads to chasing exhausted swings. The fundamental challenge lies in distinguishing between a corrective retracement within an accelerating trend and an early reversal in a dying one.
AdxRisingPullback is engineered to resolve this critical distinction. The algorithm monitors directional trend expansion and confirms trade opportunities only when directional conviction is actively rising rather than deteriorating. When a strengthening trend produces a corrective retracement, the tool validates the precise point where primary order flow resumes. Fading trends, erratic consolidation chop, and low-volume pullbacks are systematically filtered out, leaving a structured chart display centered on setups supported by expanding momentum.

Visual BUY Confirmation:
- The market establishes a confirmed upward trend structure supported by expanding directional strength.

- A dominant bullish expansion candle confirms buying power and upward momentum continuation.
- The indicator confirms the setup upon candle close and places a buy signal arrow.

- The market establishes a confirmed downward trend structure supported by expanding directional strength.
- Price executes a corrective pullback within the strengthening downtrend.
- A dominant bearish expansion candle confirms selling pressure and downward momentum continuation.
- The indicator confirms the setup upon candle close and places a sell signal arrow.
- Execution occurs at the open of the subsequent bar.
Structural Stop Loss Placement:
- The indicator automatically projects a protective Stop Loss reference positioned outside the recent structural swing extreme.
- A built-in volatility buffer provides additional distance beyond key pivots to accommodate normal spread variations and short-term market noise.

The indicator projects four structured risk-to-reward (R-multiple) levels:
- TP1 (0.5R): Initial objective configured for early partial scale-outs on immediate momentum continuation.

Signal Filtering (Signal Brake)
Sideways consolidation and two-sided liquidity wicks can generate repeated false signals. The Signal Brake logic is intended to reduce this:
- Limits rapid BUY/SELL flip-flopping in tight consolidation ranges.
- Restricts new same-direction signals while a prior setup is still active.
- Requires a minimum R-distance before the next signal can trigger.
On-Chart Historical Backtest Panel
A built-in panel summarizes how signals performed on historical data for the current settings:
- Historical hit-rate breakdown across TP1, TP2, TP3, and TP4.
- Sample size shown for the configured lookback period.
- Highlights which TP level had the best historical hit-rate for that sample.
