Xau Basket Scalper is a configurable trading framework for MetaTrader 5, not a signal in a box. You choose the entry engine, the risk model and the session windows. The EA enforces the risk limits, manages the basket, and tells you exactly what it is doing and why. It is built around one idea: an EA should never be silently wrong. Every skipped trade is logged with its reason. Every state that could cost money is detected and shown on the chart rather than discovered later in your account history. ENTRY ENGINES (switch with one input) Session opening-range breakout - builds a range at the Asian, London or New York open and trades the break, with an ATR-scaled stop. EMA pullback - trend filter on a higher timeframe, entry on a pullback to a fast EMA. VWAP mean-reversion fade - fades moves stretched more than N x ATR from a rolling volume-weighted mean, targeting the mean. An ATR volatility-regime filter applies to all three. It can require that current volatility is at least N times its own recent average before any entry is allowed. RISK CONTROLS These are enforced, not suggested. Basket stop expressed as a percentage of equity, sized backwards into lot size. Refuses the trade when the required stop is inside the broker minimum distance. It will never silently widen your stop. Refuses when the spread is too large a fraction of the target. Equity floor, daily loss limit, margin level gate, maximum lots, maximum positions. Weekend flatten. Optional refusal when the risk cap would force a stop tighter than a set fraction of what the signal actually asked for. RELIABILITY ENGINEERING Stops re-anchored to the real fill price. Levels sent with an order are computed from a pre-send quote. If the fill slips, your actual risk is not what you configured. Every leg stop and target is corrected to its true fill, and the correction is logged. Unprotected position audit. Some brokers fill an order and reject the stops, so OrderSend succeeds and the position sits with no stop loss. A standing audit detects this and repairs it. Both algo-trading permissions shown. MetaTrader has a global toolbar switch and a separate per-EA checkbox. When the second is off, orders are rejected by the server with retcode 10027 and nothing upstream notices. The dashboard shows both. Tick liveness indicator. An EA that has stopped receiving ticks looks exactly like a quiet market. The panel shows seconds since the last tick and turns red if it stalls, while staying quiet at weekends when silence is normal. Broker timezone auto-detection. Session hours are specified in GMT and converted to your broker clock automatically, so London open means London open on any server. Symbol agnostic. Contract size, tick value, digits and pip size are derived from the symbol. Verified on 2, 3 and 5 digit instruments. ON-CHART DASHBOARD Account, broker, effective leverage for the traded symbol rather than the account setting, balance, equity, free margin, day profit and loss, both algo permissions, tick age, spread against your cap, the active engine, target and stop in price and pips, the break-even win rate your current settings require compared with what chance alone would give, live position with a stop to target meter, and the running record for the day. A START and STOP button halts new entries with one click. Open positions keep their stops, targets and management, so stopping the EA never abandons a live trade. The state persists across restarts. HONEST PERFORMANCE STATEMENT No profitability claim is made for the default settings. Out-of-sample testing on XAUUSD M5 over 2023 to 2024, every tick, 1 percent risk per trade, produced a profit factor below 1.0 for every engine tested. The best result, session breakout with the volatility filter, was 0.99, which is approximately break-even before costs and slightly negative after them. Those numbers are published with the product rather than hidden. What is being sold is the framework, the risk enforcement and the instrumentation, not a demonstrated edge. If you want an edge you will need to supply it by configuring the engines and filters against your own research. Anyone telling you a gold scalper is reliably profitable should be asked for out-of-sample results at realistic spread. These are mine. REQUIREMENTS MetaTrader 5, hedging or netting account. Any symbol, designed and tested on XAUUSD. No DLLs, no external dependencies, no internet access required. SETTINGS TO READ BEFORE RUNNING MaxBasketRiskPct - percentage of equity per basket. The default is deliberately high for demo experimentation. Set it to 1 or 2 before using a live account. AllowMinLotOverride - if the risk-sized lot is below the broker minimum, trade the minimum anyway. This raises risk above your setting and says so in the log. Leave it off unless you understand the consequence. MinATRRatio - the volatility regime filter. Zero disables it.
