🔬 METHODOLOGY (Magnitude-Based Classification)
Unlike simple win-rate indicators, Asa Gold Seasonality Analyzer
classifies trend strength based on ACTUAL MOVEMENT MAGNITUDE
(average monthly return), independent of direction.
Classification thresholds (verified via 10-year XAUUSD data):
|Avg Return| ≤ 0.8% → RANGING
(movement ≤ 1 daily ADR = sideways)
0.8% < |Avg Return| ≤ 2% → MINOR TREND
(moderate directional movement)
|Avg Return| > 2% → MAJOR TREND
(strong power moves)
Direction Bias is calculated SEPARATELY from Win Rate UP %, so you
know both HOW STRONGLY the month moves AND in what direction.
Result: a balanced 4-4-4 framework that matches trader intuition.
