Introduction

Supply and demand zones are considered a core manifestation of institutional order flow, providing a more direct reflection of buying and selling pressure than traditional support/resistance levels. This indicator attempts to automate the identification of high-probability supply and demand zones using an adaptive ZigZag algorithm, reducing the subjectivity and time associated with manual drawing.

Core Technical Features

  1. Automated Zone Recognition: The indicator dynamically extracts significant peaks and troughs via a modified ZigZag algorithm to identify potential supply and demand areas. It utilizes the native MQL5  prev_calculated  mechanism to recalculate and redraw zones upon new bar formation, and supports forced timeframe calculation via the  Forced_TimeFrame  parameter.

  2. Boundary Modes: Supports both “Wide” (covering shadows) and “Narrow” (covering only the body) modes, configurable via the  use_narrow_bands  parameter to suit different trading styles.

  3. Noise Filtering: The  kill_retouch  feature eliminates weak zones that are repeatedly tested without a valid breakout, improving zone reliability.

  4. Performance & Customization: Supports custom colors, transparency, and price labels. It processes up to 2000 bars efficiently via batch loading.
