Hybrid Ichimoku + XGBoost ONNX EA for XAUUSD on M5

Kumoedge Gold Intelligence is a MetaTrader 5 Expert Advisor designed for XAUUSD on M5. It combines Ichimoku Kinko Hyo rules with an XGBoost classification model exported to ONNX. The model is embedded in the EA, remains frozen during trading, and requires no external files or DLLs.
1. Recommended setup
- Platform: MetaTrader 5.
- Symbol: XAUUSD (Gold).
- Timeframe: M5.
- Account: hedging recommended. On netting accounts, positions on the same symbol are consolidated and multi-position behavior changes.
- A VPS is recommended for continuous execution.
2. Out-of-sample validation and capital sensitivity
OOS tests from January 1, 2025 to August 13/14, 2026, with a frozen ONNX model, 2% progressive risk, 1.00 maximum lot, 1.5R target and 0.52 ONNX threshold.

The $100 test ended on August 13, contained 150 trades and used 100% real-tick quality. Tests from $500 to $10,000 ended on August 14, contained 151 trades and used 99% quality.
Capital does not improve signal accuracy: from $500 to $10,000, the same 81 of 151 trades were profitable (53.64%). Monetary results and drawdown differ because of position sizing, minimum lot, maximum-lot cap, available margin and compounding. The $100 test was viable but reached 52.99% equity drawdown; $1,000 is used as a more balanced operating reference.
3. Combined reference backtest
An additional historical result using the same logic. It is provided as context, not as an expected return.
- Period: April 1, 2022 to August 13, 2026.
- Quality: 100% real ticks.
- Initial deposit: $100.
- Trades: 398.
- Net profit: $61,031.90.
- Profitable trades: 295 of 398 (74.12%).
- Profit factor: 1.88.
- Maximum equity drawdown: 23.64%.
- Maximum consecutive losses: 7 trades.
This backtest includes the period used to develop and evaluate the strategy, so it must be read separately from the OOS validation.
4. Risk and protection logic
- Supports fixed lot or progressive sizing calculated as a percentage of equity.
- The default target is 1.5 times the initial risk (1.5R).
- The ONNX filter can reject signals whose probability does not exceed the configured threshold.
- Structure guard, timed pause and loss-burst protections restrict new entries under adverse conditions.
- On a hedging account, the EA can manage up to 15 of its own simultaneous positions, subject to margin, broker conditions and available signals.

6. Getting started
- Open an XAUUSD M5 chart.
- Attach the EA and enable algorithmic trading.
- Keep the defaults to reproduce the documented configuration.
- Check your broker's contract size, minimum lot, spread and margin before trading.
