What Is Doctor Riches EA?
Doctor Riches EA is an automated trading Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5, designed to support trend-following entries, step-index grid logic, and intelligent opposite-direction hedging.
Most grid EAs keep adding into a losing side until the account becomes exposed to heavy drawdown.
Doctor Riches takes a different approach.
When one side starts losing, the system can activate an opposite-direction pyramid hedge. This helps balance drawdown pressure while the EA continues managing profitable pairs and closed-order cash flow.
The goal is to keep the strategy active through choppy, sideways, and trending markets with structured risk controls and clear on-chart monitoring.

EMA Trend Gate
Automatically pauses the wrong-direction side and helps the EA trade with market momentum instead of fighting it.
Step-Index Grid
Entries are placed at controlled step distances with formula-based lot scaling. Distance and lot size grow by design, not by random averaging.
OppPyra Hedge System
When one side is frozen by loss, the opposite pyramid hedge can activate automatically. This helps offset drawdown and creates additional opportunities for pair closing.
Dynamic Layer Spacing
Hedge layers can space themselves further apart as the position depth grows, helping reduce cluster risk in deeper recovery zones.
Cash Flow By Design

How It Works
Doctor Riches EA combines trend-following logic with recovery management:
- The EA opens trades according to its trend and step-index conditions.
- Profitable orders can be closed to capture realized gains.
- If drawdown develops on one side, the OppPyra hedge system can activate.
- Cross-side netting can close Buy and Sell exposure together when profit conditions are met.
- Same-side pair closing can help reduce deeper grid exposure when the combined pair result is positive.
- The process repeats under the selected input settings and risk controls.
The EA may close some individual positions at a loss as part of a larger recovery cycle. What matters is the total managed basket result, the risk settings, and long-term account behavior.
