Filters (Trading tab)

The fourth sub-tab of Trading is Filters. Sub-tabs: News, Prop Firm, and Time. These are dashboard filters (block new opens, and some closes). They are not Easy Position Manager.

Typical uses: news windows, prop-style limits you type yourself, and allowed hours.

1. News Sub-Tab

The first Filters sub-tab is News. Ticked impact levels block new opens in the Hours Before / Hours After window. Optional: close matching positions in that window.

1. High Impact

Checkbox High Impact. When ticked, high-impact events use the hour window.

2. Medium Impact

Checkbox Medium Impact.

3. Low Impact

Checkbox Low Impact.

4. Hours Before

Spin Hours Before (0–24). Used with the event’s clock hour to decide if you are still “before” the news.

5. Hours After

Spin Hours After (0–24). Used with the event’s clock hour after the release. Treat these as hour-window settings, not a stopwatch.

6. All Currencies

Checkbox All Currencies.

7. Close All Open Orders

Two-state button Close All Open Orders. When on, matching open positions can close inside the news window (not only block new opens).

8. Magic Number Filter for News Closing

Checkbox list next to Close All Open Orders. Same labels as Close: FxTools Orders (default), All Bot Orders, Manual Orders, All Orders.

Checked A news event for any currency can apply to all symbols.
Unchecked Only symbols that include the news currency.

Manual Orders Magic 0 / manual

Prop Firm Sub-Tab

The second Filters sub-tab is Prop Firm. Pick a listed firm/phase to fill metric boxes, or type limits yourself. Armed checkboxes/buttons then block new opens or close when that limit is hit.

⚠️ Warning: Type the limits from your contract. Do not paste a marketing percentage from an ad into these boxes. A wrong Max DD or Daily Limit can close positions.

1. Broker

Dropdown caption Broker. First item is also Broker; the rest are named firms (FTMO, FundedNext, and others in the list). Choosing a firm fills the metric rows from that template.

2. Phase

Dropdown caption Phase. Starts as -. After a firm is selected, phases for that firm appear.

3. Profit Target

Checkbox Profit Target, value box, type $ or %, plus a live 0/0(0%) readout and a thin progress bar.

4. Daily Limit

Checkbox Daily Limit, value, $ or %, readout and bar. This is the daily-loss style row (there is no separate “Max Loss” / “# of trades” control).

5. Max DD

Checkbox Max DD, value, $ or %, readout and bar. There is no Daily% / All Time% dropdown on this tab.

6. Trading Days

Checkbox Trading Days and a whole-number box (minimum trading days), plus readout/bar. No $/% type on this row.

7. Pause After Loss

Button Pause After Loss and a number box. When on, new opens wait that many bars after a loss.

8. Max Spread pips

Button Max Spread pips and a pip box. When on, a spread above that value blocks a new open on that symbol.

9. Max Opened Positions

Button Max Opened Positions and a count box.

10. Close All Friday Hour

Button Close All Friday Hour and an hour box (0–24, default 21). When on, Friday at that hour can close positions (weekend-hold style rule).

11. Block Same Dir Trades

Button Block Same Dir Trades. Blocks another open in the same direction on the same symbol.

12. Block Opposite Dir Trades

Button Block Opposite Dir Trades. Blocks the opposite direction on the same symbol (hedge block).

There is no Magic dropdown and no TP/SL Randomizer button on this tab (those Create* calls are not in the current GUI).

Time Sub-Tab

The third Filters sub-tab is Time. Allowed Start / End per weekday. Headers: Start, End, Hour, Minute. This filter blocks new opens outside the window; it does not close positions that are already open.

Important: Arm the day button (two-state) or that day’s Start/End do not apply.

Day buttons: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (full names, not Mon/Tue). Each row has Start and End time edits. Default window is 00:00–23:59.

Times follow the platform/broker clock used by the terminal (not a separate “local vs server” switch on this tab).
