Lion of Babylon Pro is a fully automated portfolio system for XAUUSD (Gold) only. The ancient texts describe Babylon as a winged lion made of gold — the head of gold among kingdoms, its gate guarded by golden lions. This EA is built the same way: a portfolio of independent, hand-crafted entry engines behind a wall of guards.

No AI. No neural networks. No grid. No martingale. No averaging. No lot doubling. No recovery schemes. No dangerous tricks of any kind.
Every position has a hard stop loss on the broker's server from the moment it opens. Every rule in this EA is written, fixed and auditable — trading by written law, like the kingdom it is named after. One chart, zero configuration.
Attach to any XAUUSD chart (any timeframe — the EA locks its own timeframes internally). There are no set files to hunt for and nothing to optimize: the defaults ARE the tested configuration. The only choice you make is the risk mode:

• Combined risk % (default 3%) — risk budget scales with your equity.
• Combined risk $ — fixed dollar budget, independent of balance.
• Max drawdown targeting — lot size derived from the portfolio's historical backtest drawdown, for accounts that must respect a hard DD limit.
• Fixed lot per level — one constant lot, and one engine per price level: when two engines want the same breakout level, the higher-ranked engine keeps it and the other steps aside. No stacked entries, no stacked stop losses — the leanest risk profile of the four modes.

Self-managing portfolio.
The engines inside share one risk logic. In the Combined modes the EA decides by itself which engines your account size can safely afford, admits them in order of historical quality, and re-balances the budget when two engines want the same price level. In Fixed-lot mode every engine hunts its own levels and rank decides who keeps a contested level. A small account automatically runs a smaller portfolio; as equity grows, the EA unlocks more of itself. Nothing to switch on or off.

A wall of guards (all built in, all automatic):

• Broker self-check — on attach, the EA measures your broker's real gold spread and prints a verdict: full profile, marginal, or unsuitable.
• Feed guard — the EA validates its own price feed; if quotes turn stale or disordered (an overloaded VPS during high-impact news), new placements and trailing pause and resume automatically.
• Spread lock — if the rolling median spread exceeds 25 points, new placements pause automatically and resume when conditions normalize.
• Slippage monitor — every fill is measured against its order price; average and worst slippage are shown live on the chart panel. Your broker's execution quality is never a mystery.
• Weekend flat — pending orders are cleared and positions closed before the weekend. No Monday-gap lottery.
• Hard SL and TP on every trade, server-side. Stops live on the broker's server, not in the terminal — and every stop modification is double-validated before it is sent.
• Margin pre-check, duplicate-order guard, retry backoff, one-instance lock, safety net for brokers without pending-expiry support.

• Backtested on 100% real ticks, October 2020 – August 2026 (388 million ticks — the full window, no cherry-picked start date). The screenshots show both reference runs: fixed 0.01 lot from a 500 USD start, and the default 3% compounding run from the same start.
• Slippage stress ladder: the strategy stays profitable with additional adverse slippage far above what reputable raw-spread brokers actually show.
• Latency stress: 100 ms added latency changes results by ~1% — entries and exits are server-side pending orders and stops, not chased market orders.
• Monte Carlo: the historical drawdown is not a lucky ordering; reshuffled sequences cluster around the same figure.

Requirements:

• Symbol: XAUUSD only (the EA refuses other symbols outside the tester). Broker prefixes and suffixes (XAUUSD+, XAUUSD.a, XAUUSDm, GOLD, …) are detected automatically — attach to your broker's gold chart and the EA works it out.
• Account: hedging account type (netting is rejected with a clear message).
• Broker: raw/low-spread gold feed — median spread below 17 points for the full profile (the built-in broker check tells you where you stand). Typical raw-ECN accounts qualify; standard/markup accounts usually do not.
• Leverage 1:200 or higher recommended. Works from small deposits — the portfolio scales itself; from roughly $100 it starts with its most efficient engine and grows.
• VPS or stable 24/5 connection is a must — entries, stops and take-profits live on the broker's server, but trailing management and weekend protection run from your terminal. A terminal that sleeps is a portfolio without its guards.
