Why Gold Oracle exists
Most gold Expert Advisors you see on this marketplace show beautiful equity curves built against synthetic tick data — ticks the Strategy Tester invents by interpolating between 1-minute bars. Those curves collapse the moment real market microstructure touches them, because the strategy was silently fitted to noise that doesn't exist in the live market.
Gold Oracle was validated the opposite way. The hero backtest was run at 99% History Quality — the highest tick-data integrity MetaTrader 5 can produce — using high-quality real tick data for XAUUSD inside the MetaTrader 5 Strategy Tester. Every entry, exit, spread, and stop trigger in the numbers below happened against real market data, not an interpolation. Multi-year context
The 2025 results above represent Gold Oracle's strongest calendar year in our internal multi-year testing. Across longer historical periods, Profit Factor moderates toward the 1.20–1.30 range, with drawdowns up to approximately 18%, depending on gold market regime. 2025 was an exceptionally strong trending year for gold (XAUUSD rose from roughly $2,600 to over $4,500). Buyers should set expectations against the long-term average, not the 2025 peak. A live track record will be published as it accumulates.
Why these numbers matter
99% History Quality is the honest standard. Most Strategy Tester reports you see on this marketplace are run at 24–30% HQ, which means 70%+ of the ticks are invented by the tester. Gold Oracle's numbers are drawn from a real tick stream rather than interpolated bar data. No guessing what happened between bars.
LR Correlation of 0.97 is a near-perfect linear equity curve. The closer LR correlation is to 1.0, the smoother and more predictable the climb. Gold Oracle's 0.97 means the equity line is essentially a straight angle upward — the opposite of the jagged, promise-then-crash curves most gold EAs produce.
Max Drawdown of 7.63% on XAUUSD in the 2025 test is well-controlled relative to peer EAs. Gold is volatile, and most gold EAs accept 20–30% drawdowns to post their headline profit figures. Gold Oracle held drawdown under 8% across calendar year 2025. Note that in longer historical test periods drawdowns up to approximately 18% have been observed, consistent with normal variation in gold market regimes.
Profit Factor 1.65 with Sharpe 3.96 is a defensible risk-adjusted return for the 2025 sample, not a fantasy number. Systems claiming PF > 3 on gold are almost always curve-fit to synthetic ticks and fail the moment live money touches them.
Only 1.07% profit degradation under random-delay slippage emulation. This is the number that matters most. A strategy whose profits evaporate when the broker isn't perfect is a strategy that will not survive live trading. Gold Oracle's profits barely move.
