Gold Decision Assistant is a chart-based utility for MetaTrader 5 designed to help traders understand whether current market conditions are suitable for taking a trade.

Instead of generating frequent entry signals, the tool focuses on decision clarity. It summarizes multiple conditions such as spread, session state, trend strength, structure, and short-term movement into a single, readable panel.

This is particularly relevant when trading XAUUSD, where price can move quickly and short-term fluctuations often look like reversals. In practice, many poor trades come from entering too early, or trading during weak or misaligned conditions rather than from incorrect strategy rules.

The tool does not attempt to predict the market. It helps answer a simpler question: whether the current context supports a trade or not.

Gold Decision Assistant provides a structured view of the current market state through a compact on-chart panel.

Decision Logic

The tool evaluates multiple conditions before presenting a decision state.

Core idea:

  • A trade is considered only when multiple conditions are aligned
  • Weak or conflicting conditions result in WAIT or BLOCKED states
  • The system identifies the primary blocker when a trade is not allowed

This helps avoid situations such as:

  • entering during inactive or closed sessions
  • trading when spread conditions are unfavorable
  • mistaking short-term movement for a valid trend
  • taking trades before structure is established

The goal is not to increase trade frequency, but to filter out low-quality situations.

Panel Behavior

The panel is attached directly to the chart and updates in real time.

Design considerations:

  • compact layout to minimize obstruction of price
  • fixed structure for consistency across timeframes
  • selective updates to reduce unnecessary redraw
  • clear separation between sections (Market, Decision, Filter Status, Trade, Governor)

The panel position can be adjusted to avoid overlapping key chart areas.

Use with XAUUSD

Gold Decision Assistant is designed with gold trading (XAUUSD) in mind.

Typical conditions where it is useful:

  • during volatile sessions where price moves quickly
  • when trend and structure are not clearly aligned
