Prop Firm Guard Pro protects a prop firm challenge or funded account from breaking its risk rules. It watches the whole account every second and, when a rule is broken, closes the positions, deletes pending orders and blocks new trades for as long as the rule requires. It works with manual trading and with any other Expert Advisor on the same account. It never opens trades on a live chart.
Rules it enforces
- Daily loss limit - measured from the balance, the equity or the higher of the two at the start of the trading day, with a configurable reset hour. When the limit is reached, everything is closed and trading stays locked until the next reset.
- Maximum drawdown, static or trailing - static from the initial balance, or trailing from the highest equity or the highest closed balance. The trailing floor can stop at the initial balance, as many firms define it.
- Profit target - closes everything once the target is reached, so a passed challenge is not given back.
- High-impact news blackout - uses the economic calendar built into MetaTrader 5. Positions are closed and new trades blocked a set number of minutes before and after high-impact events for the currencies you choose.
- Trading hours - trades opened outside your allowed window are closed.
- Daily flat time and Friday close - close everything every day at a set time and before the weekend.
- Trade limits - maximum new trades per day, maximum open positions and maximum lot per position.
Panel and alerts
- Panel on the chart: status, equity, daily loss used, drawdown floor and percentage used, target, trades today, open positions, trading hours, next high-impact event and day start value.
- Warnings when a set percentage of a limit is used (default 80%), and messages for every lock, block and closed trade.
- Push notifications and e-mail alerts.
- All values and locks are saved, so a terminal restart does not reset the daily start, the drawdown peak or an active lock.
Try it in the Strategy Tester
The free demo can be tested in the Strategy Tester. With the parameter InpTesterDemo enabled, the utility opens one sample trade per day in the tester only, so you can watch the daily lock, the drawdown lock, the Friday close and the trade limits work. This parameter has no effect on a live chart. The economic calendar is not available in the tester, so the news blackout can only be tested on a live or demo account.

Important
- Attach the utility to one chart only and keep AutoTrading enabled, otherwise it cannot close trades.
- Trades are closed at the first price update after a rule is broken. In fast markets, at the weekly open or during news, the final loss can be larger than the limit because of slippage and gaps. Set your limits slightly below your firm's rules, for example 4.5% for a 5% daily rule, and use the news blackout.
- Firms define their rules differently. Always check your firm's exact rules and set the inputs to match them. The utility does not guarantee that an account will pass or stay funded.
