Kernvio Gold Swing Breakout trades gold breakouts. It looks for swing highs and lows on the daily, H4 and H1 chart that price has not taken out yet, and places a stop order just in front of them. Eight engines do this at the same time, each with its own swing size, stop and target, so a quiet market for one engine is often a trade for another.
Every order is sent with stop loss and take profit. After entry the EA moves the stop to break-even and trails it, and some engines pull the target closer when a trade goes the wrong way. If the entry candle closes back through the level, the trade is closed right away. That cuts most fake breakouts early. Before Non-Farm Payrolls it removes pending orders and closes positions, and it starts again one hour after the release.
Lot size comes from your balance and each engine's stop distance. On small accounts only the three daily engines trade. The H4 engine and the first H1 engine join at 1,100 USD, two more at 1,870 USD and the last one at 2,700 USD. You can turn that off, use a fixed lot, or scale the risk with one number.
Backtest with real ticks from June 2020 to September 2026, RoboForex ECN, default settings, 10,000 USD start: 4,799 trades, profit factor 2.21, 55 % winners, largest balance drawdown 26.5 %, equity drawdown 29 %. With the risk multiplier at 0.5 the balance drawdown was 12.3 %. Drawdowns of 20 % and more happened several times in the test, so choose a risk you can sit through. A backtest does not promise future results.
Attach it to one XAUUSD chart, any timeframe. Minimum 600 USD, hedging account, VPS recommended. The NFP time is set for brokers on GMT+2/+3. If your broker uses a different server time, change the NFP hour in the settings.
