Astroforex Cosmic Ea Moon Phase Gold Strategy

Overview

Astroforex Cosmic Ea is an Advanced Algorithmic trading system for XAUUSD (Gold) on MetaTrader 5. It combines real-time Astronomical calculations using the VSOP87 Planetary engine with classical technical analysis to generate high-quality trade entries on the H1 timeframe.

This is not a standard indicator-based robot. The core engine calculates live Moon phases, planetary positions, and cosmic aspects at every bar to determine market bias before any technical filter is applied.

How It Works

The EA uses a 3-tier entry scoring system:

  • Tier 1 (Best Entry): Moon phase bias + favorable planetary aspect + RSI pullback zone + EMA alignment all confirmed together

  • Tier 2 (Good Entry): Moon phase bias + EMA trend alignment confirmed

  • Tier 3 (Base Entry): EMA crossover confirmed with minimum Moon score threshold

All three tiers require EMA9 to be aligned with EMA21, and price to be on the correct side of the Daily EMA50. MACD is used as a final momentum confirmation filter before any order is placed.

Astronomical Engine (VSOP87)

The built-in VSOP87 engine calculates in real time:

  • Sun and Moon longitudes and phase angle

  • Moon phase name and bias (Buy, Sell or Neutral)

  • Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn positions

  • Dominant planetary aspect between major planets

  • Planetary hour ruler and benefic or malefic classification

  • Moon Score (0 to 100) combining all cosmic factors

This engine requires no external files, no internet connection and no data feed. All calculations happen inside the EA using astronomical mathematics.

Important: Why Strategy Tester Results Are Not Reliable

This EA uses a live astronomical engine that calculates real planetary positions and Moon phases based on the exact current date and time at the moment of execution.

When you run this EA in the Strategy Tester, the VSOP87 engine still calculates positions correctly for the historical dates being tested. However, the Strategy Tester cannot fully replicate the live market environment in which this EA was designed to operate. Here is why:

  • The Moon phase scoring model was calibrated and tuned on live market conditions, not on historical tick data

  • The planetary hour calculation depends on real server time, which behaves differently in simulated environments

  • The session filter, news filter and cooldown logic interact with real-time conditions that backtesting approximates but cannot perfectly replicate

  • Gold price behavior during specific cosmic events is a live phenomenon that cannot be captured by replaying historical bars

For this reason, Strategy Tester results should be treated as a basic functional check only — confirming that the EA opens, manages and closes trades correctly — and not as a performance benchmark.

The true and meaningful results of this EA are only visible in a live or demo account running on a real-time data feed, where the astronomical engine operates exactly as designed.

We recommend running the EA on a demo account for a minimum of two to four weeks before drawing any conclusions about its performance.

Risk Management

The EA includes a full suite of risk controls that the trader can configure:

  • Adjustable lot size

  • ATR-based Stop Loss and Take Profit

  • Breakeven lock when price moves a set distance in profit

  • USD-based trailing stop activation

  • Daily profit target — EA stops trading once the target is reached

  • Hard basket Take Profit — closes all positions when combined closed and floating profit reaches the set level

  • Daily loss limit as a percentage of balance

  • Maximum trades per day

  • Minimum cooldown minutes between trades

  • Maximum consecutive losses before pause

  • Session filter with configurable start and end hours

  • News day filter to avoid high-impact calendar dates

On-Chart Display

The EA features a full dual-column cosmic dashboard showing:

  • Live Moon phase, angle, bias and score with progress bar

  • Planetary aspect status and planet positions with zodiac signs

  • Entry tier and reason

  • Planetary hour and benefic or malefic status

  • All trade gate statuses (Moon, Aspects, News, Session, Daily limit, Cooldown, Consecutive losses, Target)

  • Daily profit progress bar with percentage

  • Account balance, equity and today profit and loss

  • Win and loss count and trade counter

  • Last signal direction and reason
