Un order book, ou carnet est un outil numérique qui affiche en temps réel les ordres d'achat et de vente pour un actif financier spécifique, comme une action, une crypto-monnaie ou une paire de devises. Il permet aux traders de visualiser la profondeur du marché, c'est-à-dire la quantité d'ordres d'achat et de vente à différents prix.

Voici une description des éléments clés d'un order book :

Colonne d'achat (Bid):
- Affiche les ordres d'achat en attente pour un actif.
- Les prix d'achat sont classés du plus élevé (meilleur prix d'achat) au plus bas.
- Indique la quantité d'actifs que les acheteurs sont prêts à acquérir à chaque prix.
Colonne de vente (Ask):
- Affiche les ordres de vente en attente pour un actif.
- Les prix de vente sont classés du plus bas (meilleur prix de vente) au plus élevé.

- Affiche le prix auquel la dernière transaction a été exécutée.
Volume total (Total Volume):
- Indique le volume total des transactions sur une période donnée.

L'order book est un outil essentiel pour les traders, car il leur permet de :

Évaluer la liquidité du marché : Un order book avec une profondeur importante indique une liquidité élevée, ce qui facilite l'exécution des ordres sans affecter significativement le prix.
Identifier les niveaux de support et de résistance : Les zones avec une concentration d'ordres d'achat peuvent agir comme supports (niveaux de prix où la demande est forte), tandis que les zones avec une concentration d'ordres de vente peuvent agir comme résistances (niveaux de prix où l'offre est forte).
Anticiper les mouvements de prix : En observant l'évolution des ordres dans l'order book, les traders peuvent anticiper les fluctuations de prix à court terme.
