Stop Guessing Whether a Trendline Will Hold or Break
Retail traders struggle with trendlines constantly. They watch price approach a level for the first or second time and hesitate, unsure if it will hold or break. By the third touch, they are exhausted from watching and end up entering at the wrong moment or staying out entirely. They get shaken out by wicks that scrape the level before the real move begins. They chase the breakout after it is too late, or they freeze during the strongest setups because they have been burned too many times before. The problem is never conviction, it is not knowing which touch of a trendline carries the real power.
Trendline3rdTouch was built around one proven principle, the third touch of a key trendline is where the real move originates. The indicator identifies this critical third test directly on your chart and confirms the moment the market decides its direction. Instead of guessing or watching endlessly, you get a clear visual signal only at the highest probability point. Weak touches and early tests are completely ignored so you focus only on the setup that matters most. The chart becomes a clear map of where to act and when.
This indicator performs best during active market sessions on high volume instruments. Gold, major indices, and the most liquid Forex pairs are ideal because their strong trends produce the type of clean trendline tests where the third touch often delivers the most powerful and reliable moves.
Section 2: Entry Logic and Trade Management
When a clear upward trend direction is established and the market produces a dominant green buying candle showing genuine power, Trendline3rdTouch confirms the breakout from the third touch and places a green arrow. You enter right on the next candle open. The setup is symmetrical for sells. When downward momentum dominates and a strong red selling candle breaks the structure, a red arrow appears and you enter on the next candle open.
The indicator automatically places a Stop Loss just beyond the most recent structural swing, with a built in buffer so your trade has enough room to breathe without taking on unnecessary risk. Four profit targets follow a disciplined scalping ladder. TP1 at 0.5R is a quick target with a very high hit rate, allowing you to lock in gains early. TP2 at 0.8R captures regular momentum swings for balanced returns. TP3 at 1.2R rides the full wave when the move expands beyond expectations. TP4 at 2.0R acts as the bonus runner target for those rare but powerful extended trends where maximum profit is within reach.
Every signal is 100 percent non repaint. Once a bar closes, the arrow and all levels are permanently locked in place. They never move, recalculate, or disappear, giving you a fully trustworthy and honest record of every trade the indicator generates.
