Gold Day Trader Product overview Gold Day Trader is an Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It focuses on gold, symbol XAUUSD. The Expert Advisor uses three trading strategies, a volatility filter, and configurable risk controls. Each strategy has its own settings and magic number and can be enabled separately. Trading logic Strategy 1 uses a level breakout followed by a retest. Strategy 2 uses a level retest followed by a breakout. Strategy 3 uses a level retest, a pullback, and another retest. The Expert Advisor uses the previous day high and low as key levels and builds zones around them. The volatility filter compares the previous day range with a four-day Average True Range. If the range is outside the configured conditions, the Expert Advisor can skip trading. Position management Take profit and stop loss are based on the weighted average price of all open positions for that strategy. This allows the Expert Advisor to manage the position basket as a group. Execution and broker checks The Expert Advisor checks maximum spread and trading session hours. It does not trade when spread is above the configured limit or when the market is closed. Before opening a trade, it checks minimum and maximum lot size, lot step, free margin, order limits, symbol trade mode, and filling mode. The Expert Advisor detects whether the account uses hedging or netting and adjusts its behavior. It also selects an order filling mode supported by the symbol. Tester statistics In the Strategy Tester, the Expert Advisor prints hourly statistics for each strategy. The statistics include maximum drawdown, average drawdown, and number of series. Technical notes The Expert Advisor does not use dynamic link library calls. It does not collect personal data.
