HCS MarketWatch is a free, read-only MetaTrader 5 indicator that displays current spread, ATR, and spread relative to ATR in one compact chart panel.
The Spread/ATR ratio provides context for current spread relative to recent market movement.
The panel displays:
• Latest terminal Bid/Ask spread in points
• MT5 ATR in points
• Spread/ATR percentage
• LEVEL: LOW, MEDIUM, or HIGH
• Average spread during the current indicator run
• Maximum spread during the current indicator run
The ATR timeframe and period can be configured, along with the reference thresholds used for LOW, MEDIUM, and HIGH. The panel can also be positioned in different chart corners.
Inputs:
AtrTimeframe — ATR timeframe (M1 default)
AtrPeriod — ATR period (14 default)
ElevatedRatioPercent — MEDIUM reference boundary (15% default)
HighRatioPercent — HIGH reference boundary (30% default)
PanelCorner — chart corner
XOffset — horizontal panel position
YOffset — vertical panel position
FontSize — panel text size
ShowSpreadStatistics — show current-run average and maximum spread
HCS MarketWatch is informational only.
It does not provide trading signals, execute orders, or predict market direction.
Spread depends on broker quotes. ATR depends on the selected timeframe and period.
LEVEL classifies the current Spread/ATR ratio against user-configurable reference thresholds. These thresholds are reference values and are not trading recommendations.
Average and maximum spread statistics apply only to the current indicator run.
When the market is closed, a retained quote may remain visible and is identified as the latest terminal quote.
No WebRequest, DLL, account data collection, telemetry, or external runtime dependency is used.
