Position Desk is a lightweight but powerful trading assistant for MetaTrader 5. Instead of a generic "click to buy" panel, it's built around risk management first: every trade is sized automatically based on the percentage of your account you're willing to risk, not a fixed lot number you have to remember to adjust.
Key Features
Risk-based position sizing Set your risk % and desired SL in pips — Position Desk calculates the exact lot size for you, live, before you click. Works correctly across forex, gold, and crypto CFDs, with built-in protection against SL distances that are tighter than the current spread (a common cause of instant stop-outs on volatile symbols).
Instrument presets (EU / GU / XU / BTC / AUTO) One-click presets adapt the pip definition per instrument, and each preset remembers its own Risk %, SL, and Risk:Reward — switch from EURUSD to BTC and your BTC settings are exactly where you left them.
Split Mode — scale out automatically Instead of one position, open 2 to 20 positions at once, same stop loss, with take-profit levels spread linearly between your chosen first and last target. Classic scale-out / runner strategy, one click.
Market, Limit, and Stop orders Full pending order support — Buy/Sell Limit and Stop, with the same risk-based lot and SL/TP logic as market orders. Works in both Single and Split mode.
Draggable SL/TP lines directly on the chart Turn on chart lines to see your risk visually — colored zones from entry to stop and entry to target, with pip/$/R labels on every level. Drag any line to adjust SL, TP, or entry price; the panel updates live.
Confirm-before-trade mode Optional safety step: enable it and the panel shows your exact risk in money, with Confirm/Cancel buttons placed right at the entry point on the chart — no accidental clicks.
Auto Break-Even Automatically moves your stop loss to entry (plus a small buffer) once a trade reaches a set profit threshold. Can be scoped to a specific trade group or applied panel-wide.
Group tracking & bulk actions Every order gets an automatic group number in its comment. The Groups tab shows all your open positions and pending orders per group, with one-click Break-Even, Close, or Close-all-profitable / Close-all-losing / Close-everything (including pending orders).
