Overview

EagleBot Candle Patterns is a professional, fully automated Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5. It combines Japanese candlestick reversal patterns, classic indicator triggers (SMA crossover, RSI, Stochastic, Ichimoku, OBV) and a mechanical adaptive-cycle pivot detector. Only the signals that survived three independent validation rounds (Python out-of-sample testing, rolling walk-forward, and MT5 Strategy Tester replay on real broker history) are enabled by default.

Strategy Logic

• Asset-specific auto-preset: the EA detects the symbol and timeframe and enables only the pattern set that survived validation for that exact combination
• XAUUSD H4: four bullish candle patterns (morning star, tweezer bottom, hammer, three white soldiers) in EMA(200) uptrend
• US100 H1: SMA(50) golden cross above SMA(200), long only
• BRENT H1: SMA(50) death cross below SMA(200), short only
• Hard stop loss at 1.5x ATR(14), take profit at 2.5x ATR, timeout exit after 20 bars
• Optional break-even move after 0.8 ATR favourable excursion and 5+ bars
• Single position per symbol, no grid, no martingale, no averaging, no hedging

Validated Performance (MT5 Strategy Tester, IC Markets EU demo, Model OHLC)

• XAUUSD H4 (2022 to 2026, 4 years): 243 trades, win rate 47.7 percent, Profit Factor 1.46, average +0.237 R per trade, final balance 12,210.59 USD on 10,000 USD deposit, total return +22.11 percent
• US100 H1 (2020 to 2026, 6 years): 73 trades, win rate 45.2 percent, Profit Factor 1.38, average +0.205 R per trade, total return +8.25 percent
• BRENT H1 (2020 to 2026, 6 years): 57 trades, win rate 43.9 percent, Profit Factor 1.30, total return +2.72 percent

Backtest data is from IC Markets EU demo with real spread, slippage 30 points, leverage 100. Live results may differ due to spread variation, slippage, and broker execution quality.

Asset and Timeframe

XAUUSD on H4, US100 (USTEC) on H1, BRENT (XBRUSD) on H1 - pre-configured defaults via auto-preset. Attach the EA to one of the three charts and it self-configures. Any other symbol-timeframe combination keeps the EA loaded but idle, with a notification message in the journal.

Recommended Setup

• Broker: any ECN broker with reasonable spread on indices and commodities (the bundle was validated on IC Markets EU)
• Account currency: EUR or USD
• Minimum deposit: 500 EUR for proper risk sizing across all three cells
• VPS recommended for 24/7 operation (US100 and BRENT H1 generate signals during European and US sessions)
• Risk per trade: 0.5 percent default (configurable input)

Risk Management Features

• Four position sizing modes: fixed lot, risk percent, money at risk, equity fraction
• Global risk cap and per-trade lot cap with NormalizeLot to broker step
• Daily loss limit circuit breaker (3 percent default)
• Consecutive loss pause mechanism (4 losses then 24h pause)
• Maximum drawdown halt protection (15 percent default, rebalances the 4-cell basket dynamics)
• OrderCalcMargin pre-check on every entry

Honest Disclosure

This Expert Advisor was developed through three rigorous validation rounds: 240 standalone candle patterns, 75 candle-plus-filter variants, and 594 indicator-plus-cycle combinations across nine assets and three timeframes. Of the 25 cells that passed the Python out-of-sample gate (Profit Factor >= 1.15, walk-forward windows positive >= 60 percent), only 4 cells held up in the real MT5 Strategy Tester replay. The product ships with only the 3 strongest cells enabled by default. The other 11 candidate cells that failed the real backtest are present in the code as optional inputs but disabled by default - we choose to under-promise rather than overstate.
