Divergence Pro: Multi-Indicator Divergence System
Divergence Pro is a professional, highly customizable analytical tool for automatically finding the most accurate trend reversal and continuation points. It is important to understand that divergences are not a standalone "Holy Grail," but a powerful addition to your trading strategy that helps flawlessly filter trades and find the best entry points.
The main advantage of this indicator is the simultaneous analysis of up to 16 classic oscillators and volume indicators. You can use them individually or combine them into a single, comprehensive cumulative signal. The system calculates "Signal Strength" as a histogram: the more indicators simultaneously confirm a divergence, the higher the probability of a successful price movement. You can flexibly change the settings of absolutely every internal indicator, and the unique "Delta" filtering system allows you to completely filter out market noise for any trading instrument.
Detailed Review of Features:
1. Complex Multi-Indicator Analysis (Confluence)
You no longer need to open multiple windows with different oscillators. Divergence Pro does all the heavy lifting "under the hood." By default, only the most popular algorithms — RSI and MACD — are enabled. However, you can enable all 16 algorithms simultaneously to gather a powerful cumulative signal confirmed by different mathematical formulas.
2. Normal and Hidden Divergences
The indicator can find both Normal divergences, which work perfectly for catching global reversals at market highs and lows, and Hidden divergences, which are the strongest patterns for entering in the direction of the current trend after pullbacks. You choose which type of signals to use.
3. Unique Signal Strength Histogram (Strength Window)
In a separate sub-window, the indicator forms a histogram. If, for example, a divergence is simultaneously detected by RSI, MACD, AO, and Stochastic, the histogram bar will show a value of "4" (or "-4" for sell signals). This allows the trader to take only the strongest signals (e.g., confirmed by 3 or more indicators) and ignore weak ones.
4. Advanced Filtering (Delta and Pivots)
In many free algorithms, a divergence is drawn even with a micro-change in price, resulting in a lot of false entries during flat markets. Divergence Pro introduces the Min Divergence Delta parameter for each indicator. It forces the algorithm to react only to clear, strong divergences.
5. Clean and Informative Chart
The indicator neatly connects the found price extremes right on the main chart. When hovering the mouse over the line, a tooltip appears, showing: direction (Bullish/Bearish), type (Regular/Hidden), and the exact list of indicators that formed this signal.
Detailed Settings Description:
=== 1. DISPLAY SETTINGS ===
-
Show Separate Strength Window: Enable/disable the sub-window with the cumulative signal strength histogram.
-
Draw Divergence Lines On Chart: Allow drawing trendlines for divergences on the main price chart.
-
Divergence Line Width / Style: Adjust the thickness and style (solid, dotted, etc.) of divergence lines.
-
Buy / Sell Divergence Line Color: Choose colors for bullish (buy) and bearish (sell) lines.
=== 2. DIVERGENCE DETECTION ===
-
Pivot Confirmation Bars: The strength of the extreme (fractal). For example, a value of 3 means the candle must be the highest/lowest among 3 candles to the left and 3 to the right.
-
Max Bar Lookback: Maximum distance in bars between two extremes to search for a divergence (0 = unlimited).
-
Max Previous Pivots From Current Pivot: How deep into history (by the number of previous extremes) the algorithm will look for a divergence.
-
Include Normal Divergences: Search for classic divergences (reversal trading).
-
Include Hidden Divergences: Search for hidden divergences (trend trading).
=== 3. ENABLED INDICATORS ===
-
A block of true/false switches to activate the required indicators. By default, only RSI and MACD are enabled.
-
Developer Tip: If you decide to enable all (or most) indicators simultaneously to get a complex entry signal, we highly recommend disabling line drawing (Draw Divergence Lines On Chart = false). This will prevent the chart from being cluttered with a web of lines, and the signal strength histogram bars will be more than enough for your trading decisions.
=== 4 – 19. SPECIFIC INDICATOR SETTINGS ===
The indicator is highly customizable: for each activated module (RSI, MFI, CCI, Stochastic, OBV, Momentum, MACD, AO, Chaikin, Bulls/Bears Power, DeMarker, Force, RVI, WPR, AD), you can set its own periods, applied prices, and smoothing methods.
The main filter in each group is:
-
Min [Name] Divergence Delta: The minimum value of indicator divergence at which the signal is considered valid (e.g., Rsi Min Divergence Delta).
-
Important Note: For many indicators, the default value is 0.0. This means the filter is disabled, and the indicator will show even micro-divergences. You must independently adjust the sensitivity (Delta) for the indicators you use, as the scale and amplitude of values differ drastically depending on the selected trading instrument (currency pair, gold, indices) and timeframe. Optimizing this parameter is the key to completely filtering out market noise.
