Artemis Gold HFT Throttle EA is a Gold-focused Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 4, built for XAUUSD traders who want short-term automated trading with professional execution control built into the system.
Many fast-trading robots focus only on speed. In live broker conditions, uncontrolled speed can become a problem. Too many trade requests, excessive modifications, burst activity during thin liquidity, or trading through wide spreads can lead to poor execution, rejected orders, broker restrictions, or unstable results.
Artemis is designed around a different principle: controlled speed is more sustainable than uncontrolled speed.
The EA is designed for Gold / XAUUSD charts. Common broker Gold symbol variations are supported, and an optional symbol filter can be used to restrict trading to approved Gold symbols. Users should test on a demo account first and load the supplied set files according to their intended use.
What's New in v1.2
Artemis Gold HFT Throttle EA v1.2 introduces a clearer and safer trading experience for MT4 gold traders. This update adds a new Why No Trade? dashboard, live Equity/Balance/Floating P/L cards, Day/Week/Month performance tracking, improved Strategy Tester support, stronger broker diagnostics, enhanced Quality Mode filters, ATR-based SL/TP, improved trailing stop and break-even logic, and new profit-protection controls to help reduce unnecessary trading during weaker market conditions.
A note about using Strategy Tester - and if you see no trades:
A dedicated Strategy Tester preset is included for users who want to check EA operation in the tester, as normal live/demo settings may be selective and may not generate frequent tester trades; the tester preset enables controlled diagnostic entries to confirm order opening, management and closing behaviour.
Artemis Throttle Guard
The defining feature of Artemis is the Throttle Guard execution-control module. Rather than allowing unlimited high-frequency activity, Throttle Guard gives the trader direct control over how the EA interacts with the broker.
Configurable limits include maximum trade requests per day, maximum actions per minute, minimum time between trade actions, and separate daily caps on OrderSend, OrderClose, OrderModify and OrderDelete attempts. Failed trade attempts can optionally count against these limits. Counters can persist through terminal restarts and reset automatically at the broker server day boundary.
v1.1 also adds Throttle Safety Close, allowing the EA to attempt a controlled safety close if a throttle lock is reached while an Artemis-managed trade is still open.
Built for Gold / XAUUSD
Artemis is designed for Gold / XAUUSD trading. Gold is fast, volatile and sensitive to spread changes, liquidity shifts and broker contract specifications. Artemis includes Gold-symbol filtering, spread controls, average spread filtering, ATR volatility filtering and RSI confirmation filtering.
Schedule controls include configurable trading windows, weekday filters, Friday cutoff and manual news-pause windows. Common broker symbol variations such as XAUUSD, GOLD and broker-suffixed Gold symbols can be supported through the symbol settings.
Risk Protection
Artemis includes a dedicated risk layer with controls for fixed lot or risk-percent sizing, stop loss, take profit, maximum open trades, maximum lot per trade, maximum total lots, maximum daily loss, maximum daily drawdown percentage, maximum open risk, daily profit target lock and maximum daily losing trades.
v1.1 improves this area with clearer ON/OFF toggles, making it easier to see which protection features are active. Low-risk set files use daily losing-trade protection and conservative one-position behaviour by default.
Trade Management
Version 1.1 adds a dedicated Trade Management section. Available controls include Break-even, Protected Exit tracking, Trailing Stop, Exit Reason Tracking and TimeExit / Max Trade Duration.
The low-risk v1.1 direction keeps Break-even off by default and uses trailing and exit tracking where appropriate. Exit Reason Tracking helps identify managed exits such as trailing exits, protected exits, protected losses, TimeExit closes and throttle safety closes, making testing and review clearer.
Execution and Diagnostics Monitoring
The EA includes live execution monitoring for current spread, average spread, ATR volatility, slippage tracking, retry error counts and cooldown status. v1.1 adds Spread Guard and spread-spike cooldown controls to help reduce trading during sudden spread expansion.
A separate diagnostics tab displays broker conditions such as stop level, freeze level, lot constraints, tick value and quote mode. This is useful when testing Gold across brokers with different XAUUSD specifications or server settings.
Dashboard and Trading Profiles
Artemis includes a multi-tab dashboard covering account status, risk exposure, execution conditions, broker diagnostics, schedule settings, trade history, performance statistics, EA configuration, runtime events and quick-reference help. When the EA blocks a trade, the reason is shown clearly.
The main dashboard now includes Today Net, Week Net and Month Net profit. EXEC and SETTINGS tabs show whether trailing stop, break-even, TimeExit, protected exit tracking and exit reason tracking are enabled.
Trading profiles include Conservative, Balanced, Aggressive and Custom-style operation depending on the build/settings used. Users should start with supplied low-risk set files and adjust only after demo testing.
Strategy Tester Support
v1.1 includes dedicated tester support and separate tester diagnostic set files. These tester sets are designed to help Strategy Tester cycle trades correctly by enabling tester frequency controls and disabling settings that can cause one trade to remain open for too long during diagnostics.
Tester diagnostic sets are intended for backtesting only and should not be used as live/demo trading presets.
Recommended Use
Attach the EA to a Gold / XAUUSD chart and begin with the supplied low-risk set files. Test on a demo account first, check the dashboard, review the DIAG and EXEC tabs, and confirm broker spread, stop level, freeze level and symbol naming before using live funds.
For Strategy Tester, use the dedicated tester diagnostic set files rather than the live/demo set files.
Important
Artemis Throttle Guard manages order frequency and execution pressure, but it cannot guarantee broker acceptance of every trade, prevent losses, or prevent all forms of account restriction. Each broker applies its own execution rules, spread behaviour, stop levels and fair-use policies.
No Expert Advisor can guarantee profit. Performance varies depending on broker spread, commission, slippage, execution quality, symbol specification, timeframe, account type and market conditions. Always test thoroughly before using live funds.
I wanted to test this new EA. The back test on demo are really good and steady (1M) with proposed set files. I will provide my final review in few weeks. Thanks to the developer.
