Artemis Bitcoin Blaster MT4 Indicator is a crypto-focused trend and momentum indicator with easy-to-use dashboard designed for Bitcoin and major crypto symbols on MetaTrader 4.
It combines closed-candle BUY/SELL signals, "Blast" Energy scoring, trend filtering, volatility checks, spread control, visual trade-plan levels, TP/SL hit tracking, and a clean on-chart dashboard.
The indicator is designed as a decision-support tool. It does not open, manage, or close trades automatically (an EA is available)
Main Features
- Crypto-only protection: Artemis Bitcoin Blaster is locked to crypto symbols. It is designed for BTC and major crypto markets, not Forex pairs, metals, or indices.
- Closed-candle signals: Signals are generated from closed candles to help reduce repainting-style confusion and avoid reacting to unfinished live candles.
- BUY and SELL signal arrows: The indicator displays clear BUY and SELL arrows directly on the chart.
- Pulse Energy score: Each setup is scored from 0 to 100 using a combination of trend, volatility, candle quality, tick volume, and spread conditions.
- Trade Plan dashboard: The panel displays the latest signal direction, status, signal time, freshness, entry, stop loss, and TP1–TP4 levels.
- TP/SL hit tracking: The dashboard can mark TP and SL levels as hit after price reaches them. If a TP has already been reached, the same trade plan will not later be marked as stopped out.
- Trade Plan expiry: Old trade plans can automatically expire after a chosen number of bars, helping avoid stale setups.
- Blast Checklist: A collapsible checklist summarises whether the main trading conditions are acceptable, including crypto lock, Pulse Energy, permission, spread, and plan status.
- Market and Prop Guard panels: Optional collapsible sections show trend, volatility, RSI, spread, trade permission, daily drawdown status, open risk, and signal limits.
- Momentum Channel overlay: An optional EMA/ATR-based channel can be displayed to help visualise Bitcoin momentum and market structure.
- Broker Fit guidance: The Symbol panel can show a simple broker-fit reading based on spread, ATR availability, symbol suitability, and broker data structure.
- Profile descriptions:The Profiles panel explains the included operating modes: Scalper, Balanced, Sniper, Prop Safe, and High Vol BTC.
- Alert system:Alerts can be enabled for valid signals and TP/SL hits, with optional filters for Pulse Energy, trade permission, and plan status.
- Bitcoin chart theme: The indicator can apply a clean Bitcoin-style chart theme with a dark background, no grid, and gold/orange visual accents.
Recommended Use
Best starting setup: (this is the default setting)
- Symbol: BTCUSD or BTCUSDT
- Timeframe: M15
- Profile: Balanced
- Signal rule: closed candle only
- Preferred Pulse Energy: 70+
- Trade only when: permission is YES or conditions are acceptable for your own risk plan
The indicator can also be used on other major crypto symbols if your broker provides them, such as ETHUSD, SOLUSD, XRPUSD, DOGEUSD, and similar crypto instruments.
Use the pre-configured profiles or available set files.
However, if you prefer to adapt the settings then disable the "useprofiledefaults" and/or set file use and follow the settings in the Advanced Manual Settings Below.
Inputs and Parameters
General Settings
- AllowedCryptoKeywords: Crypto keywords allowed in broker symbols. This helps support broker suffixes such as BTCUSDm, BTCUSD.pro, BTCUSDT, ETHUSDm, etc.
- ShowCryptoLockAlert: Shows an alert if the indicator is attached to a non-crypto symbol.
- TradingProfile: Selects the main operating profile:
- Scalper
- Balanced
- Sniper
- Prop Safe
- High Vol BTC
- UseProfileDefaults:When enabled, the selected profile controls the main strategy settings. When disabled, manual advanced settings can be used.
- EnableAlerts: Enables desktop pop-up alerts.
- EnablePushNotifications: Enables MT4 mobile push notifications if configured in MetaTrader.
- EnableEmailAlerts: Enables email alerts if configured in MetaTrader.
- DrawTradePlan: Shows Entry, SL, TP1, TP2, TP3, and TP4 levels on the chart.
- DrawDashboard: Shows or hides the main Artemis dashboard panel.
- SignalShift: Default is 1, meaning the indicator uses closed-candle signals.
- MaxBarsToScan: Controls how far back the indicator scans for signals and panel information.
Advanced Manual Settings
- FastEMA: Fast moving average used for trend/momentum evaluation.
- SlowEMA: Slow moving average used for trend confirmation.
- TrendEMA: Main trend filter moving average.
- UseTrendEMAFilter: Enables or disables the main trend EMA filter.
- RSIPeriod: RSI period used for momentum filtering.
- BuyRSILevel: Minimum RSI level used for BUY confirmation.
- SellRSILevel: Maximum RSI level used for SELL confirmation.
Volatility and Spread Settings
- ATRPeriod: ATR period used for volatility and trade-plan calculations.
- UseATRPercentFilter: Enables ATR percentage filtering.
- MinATRPercent: Minimum volatility level required for signals.
- MaxATRPercent: Maximum volatility level allowed before conditions are considered too hot.
- MinATRPoints: Minimum ATR points required.
- MaxSpreadPoints: Maximum allowed spread in points.
- UseSpreadFilterForLiveBar: Uses the spread filter when evaluating live conditions.
Signal Quality Settings
- UseCandleQualityFilter: Enables candle strength and wick filtering.
- UseBodyStrengthFilter: Requires the signal candle to have sufficient body strength.
- MinBodyRatio: Minimum candle body size relative to full candle range.
- UseWickRejectionFilter: Filters out candles with excessive opposite wick.
- MaxOppositeWickRatio: Maximum allowed opposite wick ratio.
- UseTickVolumeFilter: Enables tick-volume confirmation.
- VolumeLookback: Number of candles used to calculate average tick volume.
- MinVolumeMultiplier:Minimum tick volume requirement compared with recent average.
Trade Plan Settings
- ATRStopMultiplier: ATR multiplier used to calculate the stop loss distance.
- TP1_R: TP1 risk/reward multiplier.
- TP2_R: TP2 risk/reward multiplier.
- TP3_R: TP3 risk/reward multiplier.
- TP4_R: TP4 risk/reward multiplier.
- TradePlanExpiryBars: Marks a trade plan as expired after a selected number of bars.
- HideExpiredTradePlanLines: Hides chart trade-plan lines after the plan expires.
- ShowTargetHitStatus: Shows [HIT] beside TP/SL levels once reached.
Alert Filter Settings
- EnableTargetHitAlerts: Enables alerts when TP1–TP4 or SL is reached.
- AlertOnlyWhenPermissionYes: Only sends signal alerts when Trade Permission is YES.
- AlertOnlyWhenPlanActive: Only sends signal alerts when the latest plan is active.
- MinimumAlertPulseScore: Minimum Pulse Energy score required for alerts.
- AlertOnPlanExpired: Optional alert when a trade plan expires.
Prop Guard and Risk Settings
- EnablePropGuard: Enables trade-permission safety checks.
- MaxDailyLossPercent: Blocks or warns when daily closed loss reaches the selected percentage.
- DailyWarningPercent: Shows caution when daily loss approaches the limit.
- TrackOpenRisk: Estimates open risk from trades with stop losses.
- MaxOpenRiskPercent: Maximum allowed open risk percentage.
- OnlyTrackCurrentSymbol: Tracks risk only for the current chart symbol when enabled.
- UseSessionFilter: Optional broker-time session filter.
- SessionStartHour: Start hour for the session filter.
- SessionEndHour: End hour for the session filter.
- WarnWeekendRisk: Shows weekend or late-Friday caution.
- BlockLateFridaySignals: Optionally blocks late-Friday signals.
- FridayBlockHour: Hour from which Friday blocking begins.
- BlockExtremeVolatility: Blocks signals during extreme volatility.
- ExtremeATRPercent: ATR percentage considered extreme.
- BlockHighSpreadSignals: Blocks signals when spread is too high.
- SpreadWarningMultiplier: Shows spread warning before the maximum spread is reached.
- LimitSignalsPerDay: Limits the number of valid signals per day.
- MaxSignalsPerDay: Maximum valid signals allowed per day.
- UseSignalCooldown: Prevents clustered repeat signals.
- CooldownBars: Number of bars to wait after a valid signal.
