Hikkake Trading System automatically detects the Hikkake candlestick pattern — one of the most reliable false breakout trap patterns in technical analysis. The Hikkake pattern occurs when an inside bar breakout fails and price reverses through the opposite side, trapping breakout traders and triggering a powerful move.

How the Pattern Works
The Hikkake is a 4+ bar pattern:
- Setup Bar — Establishes the range
- Inside Bar — Fully contained within the setup bar (high <= setup high, low >= setup low)
- Fakeout Bar — Breaks one side of the inside bar, trapping breakout traders
- Confirmation Bar — Closes beyond the opposite inside bar boundary (within 3 bars of fakeout)
Bullish Hikkake: Fakeout breaks below inside low, confirmation closes above inside high Bearish Hikkake: Fakeout breaks above inside high, confirmation closes below inside low
5-Factor Quality Scoring
Every detected pattern receives a quality score (0.00-1.00) based on:
- Inside Bar Containment (25%) — How well inside bar fits within setup
- Confirm Body/ATR (20%) — Confirmation bar body strength
- Inside Range/ATR (15%) — Inside bar range relative to volatility
- Direction Change (20%) — Confirmation reverses fakeout direction
- Breach Depth (20%) — How far price extends past inside boundary
Detection Preset System
- Standard — Relaxed thresholds, more signals (~2% detection rate)
- Strict — Original spec thresholds, fewer but higher quality signals
- Custom — Full control over all 5 detection parameters
Entry Mode
Uses pending order entry (buy stop / sell stop) at the inside bar boundary opposite the fakeout. This ensures entry only on confirmed reversal, preventing premature trades.

- ATR-based — SL at entry +/- ATR x multiplier
