Intraday traders frequently encounter aggressive boundary traps: selling into a dip below key support only to watch the market surge higher, or buying into a spike above resistance right before price collapses back into the prior range. These price events often represent deliberate liquidity sweeps engineered to trigger stop-loss orders and trap breakout participants before genuine directional rotation begins.
TurtleSoup is built specifically to systematically capture these structural inflection points. The algorithm detects false breakouts and liquidity sweeps where price temporarily breaches a previous swing high or low, sweeps resting liquidity, and then closes back inside the defined structural boundary. By isolating these reclaim events, the indicator visually separates high-probability mean-reversion setups from low-conviction consolidation noise.
