Step 1: The Zigzag Fractal - Finding the "Structural Bones"
The Zigzag Fractal indicator is the foundation. Its sole job is to objectively identify significant market swings by filtering out minor price fluctuations.
· What it does: It scans the price chart looking for distinctive "peak and trough" patterns. A Fractal Up (a potential swing high/supply point) is a bar with a high that is higher than a specified number of bars on its left and right.
