GOLD ZENITH — Long-Only Markov Trend Bot (MT5)
Gold Zenith is a LONG-ONLY (buy-only) Expert Advisor that combines a Markov-chain probability engine built on short-term price state transitions (up/down) with a trend filter and a disciplined risk-control layer.
📌 Supported Setup (XAUUSD / D1 Only):
This version is optimized to run exclusively on XAUUSD (Gold) and the Daily (D1) timeframe. For best performance and verification consistency, attach the EA only to an XAUUSD chart on D1. Usage on other symbols or timeframes is not recommended.
This is the “Balanced” edition: ✅ Short trades are disabled for a simpler, more controlled trading profile.
Key Features

- Trend Filter (SMA + optional EMA check): Helps avoid trading against the dominant trend.

- Prop Firm Mode: Fixed lot + max SL ($) + max DD and daily loss limit.
- Protection Layer: Daily loss limit, max consecutive losses, max trades per day, max open positions.
- Netting Compatible: Works on MT5 netting accounts (tracks its own trades via MagicNumber).
Strategy Logic (Simplified)
- Builds an up/down/neutral state sequence from recent closes.
- Finds matching patterns of length PatternLength and estimates next-step probabilities.
- Generates a signal if probability exceeds MinProbability.
- If enabled, confirms direction with the trend filter.
- Sets SL/TP using ATR, then manages with trailing / break-even / partial close.
- Stops trading for the day if risk limits are hit.
Setup (XAUUSD / D1)
- Copy the EA into MT5 → Experts and restart MT5.
- Open XAUUSD chart → set timeframe to D1.
- Attach Gold Zenith to the chart.
- Make sure Algo Trading is enabled.
Note: If you run multiple instances, use a clear and unique MagicNumber per chart (this edition is XAUUSD/D1 focused).
Inputs (Most Important)
Risk (Normal Mode): RiskPercent, DailyLossLimitPct, MaxConsecutiveLoss, MaxTradesPerDay, MaxOpenPositions.
Set RiskPercent = 0 to use FixedLot.
Markov: MarkovLookback, PatternLength (2–5), MinProbability, MinSampleSize.
SL/TP & Management: SL_ATR_Mult, TP_ATR_Mult, UseTrailingStop, UseBreakEven, UsePartialClose, TrailStart_ATR, TrailStep_ATR, BreakEven_ATR, BreakEvenProfit, PartialClosePercent, PartialClose_ATR.
Prop Firm (Optional): PropFirmMode, PropFirmLot, PropFirmSL_Dollars, PropFirmMaxDD, PropFirmDailyMax.
Important Notes
- Results depend on broker conditions (spread, commission, slippage, sessions) and data quality.
- XAUUSD may have trading restrictions around daily rollover/maintenance (broker-specific).
