The system executes small scalping trades at the extremes of a gold price range, looking for strong breakouts through these levels with a trailing stop to capture quick profits. The problem is that range extremes are typically where reversals occur—the exact areas where this system seeks entries. While the concept works well in theory and maintains a decent win-to-loss ratio, my three-month forward test on IC Markets reveals a critical flaw: the system's entry points coincide with reversal and whipsaw zones. Consequently, losses are magnitudes larger than wins.
