=== UPGRADING FROM v1.x? READ THIS === v2 is a DIFFERENT engine. v1 was an XAUUSD M1 grid scalper; v2 is an XAUUSD M30 breakout system. After the update: (1) attach it to an M30 chart, (2) close any open positions from the old version BEFORE updating, (3) do not load old presets (.set) — use the defaults. The MagicNumber is unchanged, so leftover old positions will be managed by the new engine. GOLD VIPER v2 — aggressive gold breakout (XAUUSD M30) v2 is a FULL ENGINE REPLACEMENT. The former M1 grid-scalper engine (v1.x) was retired after real-tick validation showed its published edge did not survive real execution. v2 uses a volatility-regime breakout engine verified on three independent real-tick feeds and an in-sample / out-of-sample split. How it trades: - Trades only volatility-expansion regimes: fast ATR / slow ATR >= 1.2 and a clear EMA50/200 trend (|EMA gap| >= 0.5 x ATR). Quiet, directionless markets are skipped. - Enters on a closed-bar breakout of the 32-bar M30 channel with an ATR margin, in the direction of the trend (buy and sell). - Exits with an ATR-scaled group take-profit (ATR x 3.0) and a HARD group stop-loss (ATR x 1.5), monitored every tick. - On adverse moves it may add same-size grid entries (max 5, NO martingale) — the group SL always caps the whole basket. - Lot size is volatility-normalized: a group-SL hit costs a fixed percent of balance (default 3%), in calm and wild markets alike. - Run modes: Defensive (risk x0.5) / Standard (published) / Aggressive (risk x2). Verification (pure DEFAULT settings — what you get out of the box): - Dukascopy 100% real ticks, 22.5 years (2004-2026), $10,000, compounding: x35.55 total, Profit Factor 1.25, equity DD 28.9%, 844 trades, win rate 43.5%, Sharpe 2.17. - v2.13: regime-quality sizing enabled by default — the stronger the volatility regime at entry, the larger the lot (up to x1.5); losing regimes keep the base lot. Profit +59% vs v2.12 with equity DD nearly unchanged, improving BOTH in-sample (x6.16) and out-of-sample (x8.26). Last 10 years (2016-2026): CAGR +22.5%. - v2.12: monthly loss circuit breaker (month's realized loss -8% pauses new entries until next month; the open basket is still fully managed). Since v2.13 the Standard default beats it on BOTH profit and drawdown, so Aggressive is no longer recommended. (Sizing and breaker auto-disable in Aggressive.) TWIN-TF option (advanced): attach the EA a second time on an H1 chart with the bundled GOLD_VIPER_TWIN_H1 settings (48-bar channel / TP 2.0 ATR / risk 1.5% / separate magic). The H1 leg is IS/OOS positive on 22.5y real ticks (IS PF1.25 / OOS PF1.14) with only +0.20 monthly correlation to the M30 leg. Combined (monthly composition): x55.7 / CAGR 21.1% with slightly lower drawdown than M30 alone. The H1 leg is not meant to run alone. MULTI-TF FULL PACK (bundled on fxea365.com edition): H2 and M20 companion legs, optimized ONLY on 2004-2015 and validated on the untouched 2016-2026 decade (OOS PF 1.73 / 1.63, penny-reproduced). Measured monthly composition on that unseen window: M30 alone x8.3 (CAGR 23.3%) -> 3 legs x24.1 (CAGR 37.1%) -> full 5-leg pack x59.7 (CAGR 50.0%, maxDD 27.6%).
