EA28 – MACD Martingale 500 Pip

EA28 – MACD Martingale 500 Pip is an automated MetaTrader 4 Expert Advisor that combines MACD-based market direction analysis, structured recovery positions, and basket-level profit management.

The EA is designed to identify directional momentum using the MACD indicator. When a valid BUY or SELL condition is detected, it opens an initial market position. If the market subsequently moves against the position, the EA can automatically add recovery trades at predefined price distances.

Instead of managing each position independently with a traditional Take Profit, EA28 monitors the combined result of the trading basket. When the total basket profit reaches the configured target, the EA closes the positions.

HOW EA28 WORKS

1. MACD Market Analysis

The EA uses the MACD indicator to determine market direction.

Default MACD settings:

  • Fast EMA: 12

  • Slow EMA: 26

  • Signal Period: 9

  • Applied Price: Close

  • MACD Threshold: 0.0003

A BUY condition is generated when MACD shows sufficient positive momentum.

A SELL condition is generated when MACD shows sufficient negative momentum.

2. Initial Trade

After a valid signal, EA28 opens an initial market position using the configured starting lot size.

Default starting lot:

0.10 lots

The EA can be configured to trade:

  • BUY only

  • SELL only

  • BUY and SELL

3. Recovery / Martingale System

When an existing position moves into an unfavorable direction, EA28 monitors the market for the configured recovery distance.

Default recovery distance:

50 pips

When the required conditions are met, the EA can open an additional position to help manage the overall basket.

The recovery lot is calculated using the configured Martingale multiplier.

Default multiplier:

2.0

This allows the EA to increase position size during the recovery sequence according to its programmed basket-management logic.

4. Basket Profit Management

EA28 evaluates the combined floating profit of its positions rather than relying on individual Take Profit levels.

Default basket profit target:

$30

When the combined basket reaches the configured profit target, the EA closes the basket.

Example:

  • Trade 1: -$40

  • Trade 2: -$20

  • Trade 3: +$50

  • Trade 4: +$40

Basket result:

+$30

The EA can then wait for a new MACD signal and begin a new trading cycle.

RISK WARNING

EA28 uses a recovery/Martingale-style position management approach. Increasing position size after adverse price movement can significantly increase exposure and drawdown during prolonged one-directional markets.

The EA does not guarantee profits and should be tested thoroughly before being used on a live account.
