BOS CHOCH STRUCTURE DETECTOR is a MetaTrader 5 market structure indicator designed to identify and visually display Break of Structure (BOS) and Change of Character (CHoCH) events directly on the chart.
The indicator detects swing highs and swing lows using a configurable Swing Lookback period and monitors subsequent price closes for breaks of those structural levels.
When a structural break is detected, the indicator draws a horizontal structure line from the broken swing level to the breakout candle and places a BOS or CHoCH label on the chart.

HOW IT WORKS
The indicator first identifies confirmed swing highs and swing lows according to the selected Swing Lookback setting.
A bullish structure break is detected when the closing price moves above the most recent confirmed swing high.
A bearish structure break is detected when the closing price moves below the most recent confirmed swing low.
The indicator then classifies the break as either BOS or CHoCH according to the relationship between the latest and previous structural swing levels.
For bullish breaks:
• A break of a lower high is classified as a bullish CHoCH.
• Other bullish structure breaks are classified as bullish BOS.
For bearish breaks:
• A break of a higher low is classified as a bearish CHoCH.
• Other bearish structure breaks are classified as bearish BOS.
The corresponding structure level is displayed on the chart together with the BOS or CHoCH label.
INPUT SETTINGS
Structure Settings
Swing Lookback
Controls the number of bars used to identify swing highs and swing lows.
A higher value requires a larger surrounding price structure before a swing point is confirmed.
A lower value allows smaller and more frequent swing points to be detected.
Display Settings
BOS Bull Color
Sets the color used for bullish BOS structure lines and labels.
BOS Bear Color
Sets the color used for bearish BOS structure lines and labels.
CHoCH Bull Color
Sets the color used for bullish CHoCH structure lines and labels.
CHoCH Bear Color
Sets the color used for bearish CHoCH structure lines and labels.
Line Width
Controls the thickness of the BOS and CHoCH structure lines.
Line Style
Controls the visual style of the structure lines, such as solid or other supported MetaTrader line styles.
Font Size
Controls the size of the BOS and CHoCH labels displayed on the chart.
