It opens a directional "first trade" from a configurable entry signal, then systematically adds grid levels at widening distances, scaling lot size by a martingale multiplier. The basket is closed in net profit through a basket take-profit (points or fixed money), a trailing stop, or a hard basket stop-loss. Multiple safety layers — free-margin checks, broker stop/freeze levels, volume-limit, and equity-drawdown protection.
SMF Grid is built around a controlled averaging grid, not a blind martingale. Instead of doubling blindly, it:
- Opens a first trade using a selectable entry logic (trend MA cross, RSI extreme, or reversal-from-MA fade).
- Adds grid levels at a base step (fixed points or ATR-based), with the distance progressively widened on each level so deeper drawdowns require larger moves to add — reducing over-trading into a runaway trend.
- Scales lot size by a configurable martingale multiplier (default 1.6) per level, capped by a hard maximum lot and by the broker's free-margin allowance.
- Exits the whole basket when it reaches net profit via:
- a basket take-profit measured from the average open price (points), optionally shrinking per level,
- a fixed money target,
- a trailing stop that locks in profit once the basket moves far enough in the green,
- or a hard basket stop-loss for worst-case containment.
- Protects capital with an emergency equity stop that closes everything and pauses trading for a configurable cooldown after a deep drawdown
