What is KingBacchusI?

KingBacchusI is a trend Expert Advisor for MetaTrader 5 designed to trade highly volatile markets, with a special focus on the XAUUSD (Gold) pair. It combines a multifactor signal scoring system, stacked quality filters, and active position management that protects capital while letting profits run.

It is not a grid EA, does not use martingale, and does not expose the account to unlimited risk. Every trade has Stop Loss, Take Profit, and trailing defined from the moment of entry.

Signal Scoring System (0–100 pts)

Before opening any position, the EA evaluates 4 market dimensions and combines them into a total score:

• Trend strength: distance to EMA 200, directional consistency over 5 bars, and EMA slope (max. 25 pts)

• Momentum score: RSI in optimal zone according to direction and RSI slope alignment vs price (max. 25 pts)

• Volatility score: current ATR ratio vs 10-period average ATR — neither too quiet nor too explosive (max. 25 pts)

• Confluence: high volume, confirmed band breakout, and favorable candlestick pattern (max. 25 pts)

Only when the score exceeds the configured threshold (default 50/100) does the EA consider opening a trade. This threshold adjusts automatically based on historical success in the current market context.

Two Entry Modes

The EA allows selecting the entry mode depending on market regime:

• Breakout Mode — enters when price closes above the upper band (long) or below the lower band (short), confirming breakout with volume and minimum score. Ideal in high-volatility sessions like London open or macro data releases.

• Pullback Mode — enters when price retraces toward EMA 200 within a configurable ATR zone and bounces in favor of the trend. More selective, with better risk/reward ratio in trending markets.

8 Stacked Quality Filters

Each signal must pass all active filters before execution:

1. Time filter — trades only within configured time window

2. Spread filter — rejects entries when spread exceeds defined maximum

3. ATR volatility filter — avoids overly quiet or explosive markets

4. RSI momentum filter — checks RSI is in favorable zone

5. ADX filter — confirms presence of real trend (not sideways range)

6. Multi-timeframe filter — verifies trend alignment on H1 using independent EMA

7. Market context filter — classifies market into 5 contexts and activates/discards entries accordingly

8. Circuit breaker — halts trading if triggered by consecutive losses or daily drawdown

Active Position Management

Once a trade is opened, the EA actively manages each ticket:

• Structural or ATR Stop Loss: SL is calculated using the opposite band level as natural support/resistance, with fallback to ATR × multiplier if structural level is invalid.

• Partial Take Profit: closes a configurable percentage (default 50%) of the position at the first RR target, securing gains without closing the entire trade.

• Automatic Break-even: moves SL to entry price + 1 point when price reaches minimum RR, eliminating risk in advancing trades.

• ATR Trailing Stop: follows price at ATR × multiplier distance. Can activate from entry or only after break-even. TP shifts the same distance as SL when trailing advances, preserving the original RR.

Intelligent Circuit Breaker

The EA includes an automatic pause system to protect the account against losing streaks or unexpected macro events:

• Pause after consecutive losses: stops if max configured losing streak is reached

• Pause after daily drawdown: compares current balance with day’s starting balance and halts if drop exceeds max percentage

• Automatic reset at start of next day

Real-Time Information Panel

Directly on the chart, the EA displays:

• Current trend direction (bullish / bearish / undefined) with color indicator

• Current signal score out of 100

• Status of each filter (OK / active / out of range)

• Classified market context

• Number of open positions

• Circuit breaker status

• Trading on/off button without parameter changes

Separate performance panel shows balance, equity, max drawdown, win rate, profit factor, and expectancy updated every minute.

Adaptive Learning System

The EA records signal patterns grouped by market context, entry mode, time of day, and score range. After enough history, it adjusts the minimum score threshold based on real performance:

• Contexts with win rate < 35% → threshold rises 15 points (more selective)

• Contexts with win rate ≥ 60% → threshold drops 10 points (more active)

This mechanism improves selectivity over time without manual re-optimization.

Backtesting & Export Module

• Supports out-of-sample (OOS) period with configurable dates

• Automatic CSV export of all trades after backtest

• Separate in-sample vs out-of-sample metrics

• Custom fitness function combining profit factor, win rate, drawdown, and Sharpe ratio for Strategy Tester optimization

Technical Requirements

• Platform: MetaTrader 5

• Recommended pair: XAUUSD (also compatible with EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDJPY, NAS100)

• Operating timeframe: M15, M30, or H1
