This article is the complete feature and settings reference for Signalator Trading Suite MT5. It describes the controls and options available in each module and includes the full EA Input catalogue.

For screenshots, setup instructions and practical examples, see the illustrated user manual.

Companion article: Illustrated Guide and Practical Workflows.

Use this reference to find what a module supports, what its controls change and which settings belong together. Full and Compact expose the same principal workflows through different layouts; Tiny is a reduced workspace. A control can be unavailable when it does not apply to the selected chart, target or request.

This reference describes the current public workspace. The final catalogue preserves the exact configurable EA Input names and source defaults. Saved panel choices can override their initial seed values. The illustrated companion explains the workflows and shows the screenshots.

  • Layout: Full / Compact / Tiny.; Changes presentation and the available simplified controls.
  • Module behavior: Switch view / Dashboard.; One principal module or several open module panels.
  • Panel placement: Lock / Unlock; drag headers; Reset positions; arrange/columns.; Changes placement rather than execution permissions.
  • Header / account context: Account indicator and current high-level P/L, equity, trade/volume information.; Quick context; the selected module provides its detailed scope.
  • Language: English / Spanish / Russian / Chinese.; Main interface language.
  • Panel theme: Dark / Light / Dune.; Panel appearance, separate from chart presets.
  • UI scale: Auto and percentage presets.; Adapts control size to the workspace.

2. Summary

  • Overview: Floating P/L; balance; equity; open-position count; total lots; missing SL/TP counts.; Account overview.
  • Exposure - Open positions: Position count, total lots, net lots, buy/sell counts and volumes, floating result, symbols traded, symbol exposure.; Open exposure rather than a new-order request.
  • Exposure - Pending orders: Pending-order exposure and its separate summary.; Pending instructions are separated from positions.
  • Risk: Defined SL/TP outcomes, missing/defined protection counts, pending count, symbol count and active-plan risk.; An undefined level does not represent a zero-risk outcome.
  • Plan: Trading symbol/spread/trading state; side/entry, lot, risk mode, risk/reward, RR, SL/TP distances and planned entry/SL/TP.; Describes the proposed next order.
  • Access: Connection, account/terminal/EA trading permissions and execution readiness information.; Text status information; no separate illustration is required.

3. Trade - order preparation

  • Symbol strip / browser: Broker instruments, previous/next and further selection controls.; Instrument used by the next plan.
  • Direction: Buy / Sell.; Planned order side.
  • Order family: Market / Limit / Stop.; The supported public entry families.
  • Entry: Market-derived or editable pending price; Reset.; Planned/requested entry.
  • Size: Fixed lot; Fixed money; % Balance; % Equity; Lot per balance.; Volume entry/calculation basis.
  • Protection usage: SL+TP / SL / TP / None.; Which protection levels are included.
  • SL and TP: Editable price values with adjustment controls.; Planned broker protection prices.
  • Protection movement: Move with entry / Fixed prices.; Preserve distances or retain entered price levels as entry changes.
  • RR lock: ON/OFF; editable ratio; -/+.; Link planned reward to planned risk.
  • Profile: Scalp / Intraday / Swing / Custom.; Select preset planning parameters.
  • Pending expiry: GTC / Day / Minutes, with an entered minute lifetime.; Pending-order lifetime; broker support applies.
  • Request preview: Order side/family, instrument, size, entry, protection, risk/reward, RR, expiry, check/status and last execution result.; Final review before/after submission.
  • Draft chart lines: Entry, SL and TP visibility and supported dragging.; Planning aids in the compatible chart context.
  • Execution setup: Feature enabled, optional arm requirement, deviation and magic number.; Permission/identification settings, separate from layout lock.

A valid stop-loss distance is required for risk-based lot calculation. The final request is constrained by symbol tick size, volume step/min/max, broker permissions and Protect. A requested RR is a target for the plan; inspect the resulting prices and calculated RR.

4. Manage - targets and manual actions

  • Target mode: Ticket / Group filters.; Explicit selection or filtered scope.
  • Trade universe: Positions / Pending only / Positions + pending; Both in Full.; Select eligible trade categories.
  • Tickets: Multi-select dropdown and selected summary.; Choose individual targets; inspect selected positions/orders/lots.
  • Market / symbol: Specific broker symbol or the available all-symbol scope.; Narrow a filtered group.
  • Owner: Panel / Manual / Other / All.; Trade-origin filtering.

  • Remove protection: Remove SL / Remove TP / Remove both.; Remove the corresponding protection from the scope.
  • Breakeven: Profit lock; BE target SL; Move BE.; Apply the previewed target stop.
  • Manual trailing: Tighten SL / Follow price; Trail by; Trail action.; One requested adjustment to scoped stops.
  • Status / candidate levels: Target counts, readiness, candidate Buy/Sell SL and latest action result.; Inspect the calculation and broker outcome.

5. Manage - automatic engines

  • Trail SL master: ON/OFF.; Enable/disable repeated trailing checks for the active target.
  • Trailing mode: Tighten / Follow price.; Tighten steps an existing SL; Follow price calculates a market-relative candidate and skips a change that would loosen an existing tighter stop.
  • Trail behind: Editable distance.; Candidate-stop distance.
  • Check every: Editable check interval.; Recheck cadence.
  • Start after: Condition ON/OFF and movement threshold.; Delay activation until the specified movement condition.
  • Trailing feedback: Start / SL, Readiness, Last.; Reference and latest result.
  • Partial TP master: ON/OFF.; Enable/disable staged partial exits.
  • Partial TP basis: Original / Remaining.; Percentage base captured originally or currently remaining.

  • Partial TP feedback: Levels, Readiness, Last.; Configured thresholds and current engine state.
  • Shared active target: The current Manage ticket/group universe and filters.; Auto engines use this target even when another module is visible.

Tighten and Follow price are different policies. Confirm the candidate stop before relying on the chosen mode. Partial quantities must satisfy broker volume rules. Buy thresholds use Bid; sell thresholds use Ask. Neither hiding the panel nor locking its layout stops an enabled engine.

6. Protect - Guards and Trading Gate

  • Guards master: ON/OFF.; New panel-request guards.
  • Max spread: Broker-point threshold / OFF.; Reject requests above the selected spread.
  • Min RR: Ratio threshold / OFF.; Require minimum planned reward/risk.
  • Max risk: Percentage threshold / OFF.; Limit planned request risk.
  • Max lot: Volume threshold / OFF.; Limit request volume.
  • Trading direction: Permitted direction choice.; Restrict new panel entries.
  • Max open: Configured count / disabled limit.; Open-position capacity.
  • Max per symbol: Configured count / disabled limit.; Per-symbol position capacity.
  • Max pending: Configured count / disabled limit.; Pending-order capacity.
  • Min margin %: Configured minimum.; Margin-level restriction.
  • Session gate: ON/OFF.; Activate permitted-time filtering.
  • Clock: Broker time / Computer time.; Time source for Trading Gate hours.
  • Days / Hours: Weekday and hourly selection.; Allowed entry windows.
  • Session presets: Asia 00-09; London 07-16; New York preset as displayed.; Quick hour selections on the chosen clock, not a live exchange calendar.
  • Now / status: Current clock, exposure and permission state.; Explain the current blocking/allowed result.

7. Protect - period limits, hard stop and advanced scope

  • Period choices: Daily / Weekly / Monthly / Symbol.; Selected period/scope to monitor.
  • Period master: ON/OFF per rule.; Enable that rule.
  • Money limits: Loss money / target money.; Configured period P/L bounds.
  • Trade limit: Maximum trades.; Configured period trade-count bound.
  • Now: Current P/L/trade count and state.; Live evaluation of that rule.
  • Limit action: Monitor; Warn; Block Panel; Close Scope; Close Scope + Delete Orders; Account Hard Stop, where offered.; Escalating response; closing scope matters.
  • Hard-stop master: ON/OFF.; Account drawdown-protection state.
  • Hard-stop threshold: Drawdown percentage.; Distance from the protected peak.
  • Hard-stop feedback: Peak, drawdown, exposure, status.; Account-wide protection context.
  • Hard-stop reset: Explicit reset control.; Reset is separate from changing appearance or hiding the panel.
  • Initial protected balance: 0 = automatic, or an entered starting baseline.; Seed for a new hard-stop baseline; reset separately.
  • Hard-stop external re-entry: Alert only / Auto close-delete.; Response when external exposure reappears.
  • Period reset hour: Broker-time hour for the selected rule.; Define the period boundary.
  • Include floating P/L: ON/OFF per eligible rule.; Whether monitored floating results join the calculation.
  • Percentage limits: Maximum loss % / profit target %.; 0 disables those percentage bounds.
  • Symbol protection symbol: Entered symbol; empty uses chart as documented.; Choose the symbol-limited rule context.
  • Warning threshold: Warning percentage.; Warn before the full limit condition.
  • Lock until next period: ON/OFF.; Keep a triggered period lock until its boundary.
  • Period external re-entry: Alert only / Re-apply action.; Respond using the configured period policy.

EA / Magic and Source protections

  • Enabled: ON/OFF for the scoped rule.
  • EA / Magic: Magic-number identifier; optional symbol filter.
  • Source: Any; Panel; Manual/Mobile; External EA; Broker/System; Unknown.
  • Period / reset: Selected daily/weekly/monthly scoped period and broker reset hour.
  • Included exposure: Floating-P/L inclusion and pending-order inclusion.
  • Money limits: Maximum loss and profit target.
  • Percentage limits: Maximum loss % and profit target %.
  • Trade limit / action: Maximum trades and selected limit response.

Session protection

  • Enabled / hours: ON/OFF; start hour; end hour including 24 for midnight. Equal hours mean all day; overnight windows are supported.
  • Scope: Account; Symbol; Source; EA/Magic; Position context as shown by the selector. A position scope without a valid ticket is not a usable target.
  • Filters: Symbol, source, magic number and Both/Buy/Sell.
  • Included targets: Positions and/or pending orders.
  • Outside-session action: Configured monitor/warn/block/close-type response as available.

Trade-source attribution and floating-P/L attribution are distinct. Read a scope warning instead of assuming that every historical result or current position can always be assigned to a selected source. Account Hard Stop is intentionally broader than a chart-specific plan.

8. Symbol

  • Instrument browser: Exact broker instrument names, Market Watch choices, search/selection and browsing controls as displayed.
  • Prices: Bid, Ask, spread and current quote context.
  • Precision / value: Digits, point, tick size and tick value.

  • Protection constraints: Stop and freeze distances.
  • Trading state: Broker trade-enabled state and warnings.
  • Independent selection: Trade, Manage and Charts still display their own selected contexts.

9. Charts - types and construction

  • Candles: Native OHLC candles and timeframe selection.
  • Bars: Native OHLC bars and timeframe selection.
  • Line: Native line display and line colour styling; native width constraints apply.
  • Heikin Ashi: Standard recalculated candle representation, live current bar, style/view and hover context.

  • Tick: Bid and Ask display, quote history and visible-tick controls; separate line colours; one-pixel quote-line drawing.

Renko setting groups

  • Preset selection: Signalator Cyan, Graphite Pro, Dune, High Contrast, Glacier Night, Frost Day, Neon Trader, Sandstone, Violet Night, Rose Noir, Copper Night, Forest, Ocean Slate, Burgundy Night, Arctic Light, High Contrast Inverted, Electric Contrast, Lavender Dark, Midnight Gold, Classic Trader.
  • Colour roles: Type-specific background, grid, rising/falling bodies/lines/wicks, batch/gap roles, axes/text and current price.
  • Palette / RGB: Palette swatches; editable RGB hex; Apply; Reset.

  • Restore chart: Restore the native chart display/context.
  • Draft trading lines: Entry / SL / TP visibility; custom live overlay is latest-view only.
  • Position / pending levels: Visibility for supported existing trade levels; custom latest-view only.
  • Management previews: Native chart breakeven/trailing guides; custom chart unavailable.

  • Preview colours: Editable breakeven and trailing RGB hex with Apply controls on the native trading-lines page.

Price levels, Regression and management previews require a native chart context. They are not offered as if they operated on the synthetic P&F/Kagi/Renko coordinate system. A visual switch changes display rather than broker protection or execution.

11. Analysis - patterns, structure, support/resistance and EQH/EQL

Candlestick patterns

  • Overlay: ON/OFF on native Candles.
  • Display: Markers and/or Names.
  • Pattern groups: 1-candle, 2-candle, 3-candle and longer formations.

  • Swing confirmation: 2 / 3 / 5 bars per side in native OHLC controls.
  • Feedback: Confirmed-swing count, break count and completed-source history context.
  • Chart compatibility: Candles / Bars / Renko; the native-bar and Renko implementations use their own source context.

Resistant Support

  • Enabled: ON/OFF.
  • Layers: Levels / Zones / Areas.
  • Minimum visits / encounters: All / 3 / 5 / 10 / 15 / 20 / 25.
  • Count period / Lookback: All history / Last X candles; editable completed-candle window.

  • Combine: ON/OFF; fixed-price or spread-based tolerance with value and effective-tolerance readout.
  • Info: Broker symbol/timeframe, processing/history boundary, shown/eligible count and support/resistance/pending colour roles.

Levels retain individual swing origins. Zones describe swing bands. Areas group nearby origins into persistent structures with their own encounter histories. Display combination and object caps are presentation choices; they do not redefine those histories. Supported charts are Candles, Bars and Line.

EQH / EQL

  • Enabled / Display: ON/OFF; E1 levels; E2 candidates; fixed patterns; labels; display-candle window; counts and history boundary.
  • Origin & matching: Prior close window; move away from origin; minimum candles between; close-match tolerance; minimum move per leg; EMA period; distance beyond EMA; prior open average.
  • Confirmation & limits: Confirmation minimum body; E2 minimum body; confirmation wick/body; maximum excursion; maximum bars.
  • Optional rules: Reject single-body swings; require return direction; reject enclosed swings.
  • Rule guide: Exact interpretation and units for each rule.
  • Price units: Raw quote-price distances for the current symbol; values do not automatically rescale across symbols.
  • Behavior / compatibility: Completed broker candles; analysis-only with no new orders/notifications from this detector; Candles/Bars/Line.

12. Data - live collection and historical export

  • Live master: Live ON/OFF.
  • Live type: Tick samples / Closed bars.
  • Live timeframe: Selected period for closed bars.
  • Sample every: Displayed sampling cadence for live collection.
  • Live instruments: Selected broker symbols; Market Watch selection and paging; active/maximum count.
  • Live status: State, last file, rows/session and latest update.
  • Run scope: While Data is open or while the panel is running, according to Input.
  • History export symbol: Exact broker instrument.
  • History data type: Real ticks / Bars.
  • History timeframe: Selected bar period when Bars is active.
  • History dates: From / To in accepted date/time format; Broker time.

  • Info: Collection scope, maximum symbols, folder, local/Common location and header setting.
  • CSV - bars: Broker time, symbol, timeframe, open/high/low/close, tick volume, spread, real volume, server and login.
  • CSV - ticks: Broker time, millisecond timestamp, symbol, Bid/Ask/Last, volume, real volume, flags, server and login.
  • Completion: Completed .csv versus unfinished .partial file; broker-history availability governs coverage.

Strategy Tester export-only workflow

  1. Select Trading Suite in MT5 Strategy Tester and choose the symbol, date interval and modeling mode.
  2. Keep TesterExportEnabled enabled, use a single run and disable optimization.
  3. Choose tick output or completed-bar output and the desired bar timeframe.
  4. Set the output folder/Common-folder choice and start the run.
  5. Read the tester log's output path and completion result. Treat a .partial file as incomplete.

Tester output is marked tester_replay and follows the selected tester modeling mode. This build does not turn the tester session into a live trading/backtesting workspace. Test-data provenance matters when comparing it with a historical Real ticks export.

13. Report - performance and trading records

  • Overview: Today / Week / Month / All time; net profit; realized maximum drawdown; observed floating drawdown; closed-trade count; wins/losses/breakeven; win rate.
  • Symbols: Period selector, symbol rows, paging; net P/L, trade count, wins/losses/breakeven and drawdown.
  • Export period: Today / Week / Month / N days / All time / Custom.
  • Custom dates: From / To; To is exclusive.
  • Symbol filter: All symbols / attached-chart symbol.
  • Side: Both / Buy / Sell.
  • Included records: Trading deals; Open positions now; Pending orders now; Account snapshot.
  • Export action: Export CSV / Export + notify; completed status, row count and file path.
  • Record categories: deal, trading_fee where present, open_position, pending_order and account_snapshot.
  • CSV fields: Record type, account/server/currency, symbol, ticket/position ID, broker time, type/entry, volume, price, SL/TP, gross result, commission/swap/fee, net result, magic/comment, requested interval, generated time and account snapshot fields.
  • Telegram page: Delivery/readiness summary and TEXT / SHOT / REPORT test actions.
  • Schedule: ON/OFF; Every-hours interval; Export only / Export + notify; current export range; next/status fields; Run now.

Current positions/orders and an account snapshot are current-state records, not historical closed-trade rows. The report range is applied to historical deals. Floating drawdown is an observed monitor value; read its coverage/update state. A schedule or an explicit report test has its own workflow and is not controlled solely by the new-event master switch.

14. Notify - shared event settings and destinations

  • Automatic alerts: ON/OFF master for new selected events.
  • Settings scope: Shared account/server choices across charts in this terminal, with runtime persistence enabled.
  • Event symbol scope: All account symbols; switching the attached chart/timeframe does not restore chart-specific toggles.
  • Broker activity: Trade entries; exits/partial exits; pending created; pending modified; cancelled/expired; SL/TP changes.
  • Panel events: Trade requests; management; protection events.
  • Panel result filters: Blocked / Failed / Successful; these filters do not replace the broker-event selections.
  • Connection: Lost/restored connection alerts and configured disconnection delay.
  • Telegram: ON/OFF, readiness, Test; bot token/chat ID configured in Inputs.
  • MT5 push: ON/OFF, readiness, Test; terminal Notifications setup required.
  • Email: ON/OFF, readiness, Test; terminal Email setup required.
  • Popup: ON/OFF, Test; terminal popup destination.
  • Queue: Queued/dropped information; Clear queue; configured Telegram retry/outbox behavior.
  • Explicit chart test: Test chart photo for the attached chart, separate from selecting ordinary new events.

Message formatting and photographs

  • Length / detail: Compact / Detailed.
  • Template: Classic / Clean / Report / Custom.
  • Message fields: Account label; Symbol; Volume; Price; SL/TP; Result; Details.
  • Trade-event Details: Readable protection summary: no SL/TP, SL only, TP only or SL + TP.
  • Chart photo: ON/OFF for Telegram.
  • Matching symbol: Capture the attached chart for an eligible matching-symbol alert.
  • Mismatched symbol: Send the text alert with an explanation naming the alert symbol and chart symbol; omit the unrelated photo.
  • Capture timing / fallback: Capture at deferred delivery; text fallback if an eligible capture fails.
  • Preview: Sample formatting only; not proof of a live order or delivery.

Telegram bot creation and chat-ID setup are covered separately in our Telegram setup guide. Add https://api.telegram.org to the MT5 allowed WebRequest addresses, then verify delivery with a test. A channel test and Automatic alerts are separate controls.

Custom notification placeholders supported by the formatter: {ACTION} , {GROUP} , {STATUS} , {STATUS_UPPER} , {SYMBOL} , {TIMEFRAME} , {CHART} , {SIDE} , {ORDER_TYPE} , {VOLUME} , {PRICE} , {SL} , {TP} , {LEVELS} , {TRADE_LINE} , {RESULT} , {SCOPE} , {AFFECTED_POS} , {AFFECTED_LOTS} , {ACCOUNT} , {DETAILS} .

  • Runtime persistence: Remember panel/runtime choices, including shared Notify choices in normal persisted sessions.
  • Cleanup on removal: Configurable removal of planning lines, position levels, management previews and psychological levels.
  • Debug mode: Additional diagnostics for investigation, distinct from ordinary alert content.

16. Storage, units and working boundaries

  • Local output: The running terminal's data folder > MQL5/Files.
  • Common output: The terminal Common data location > Files; shared by terminals using that Common location.
  • Report default folder: Signalator_TM_Reports, local by default.
  • Collector default folder: Signalator_TM_Data, Common by default.
  • Tester default folder: Signalator_TM_Data/Tester, Common by default.

  • Clock: Historical market data uses broker timestamps; other clocks are identified by their page/control.

17. Exact EA Inputs and source defaults

The names below match EA Properties exactly. Use them to locate the configurable settings and compare their initial values. Values below are source defaults for v0.2.388; a saved preset or persisted panel choice can change the effective working state. Empty token/chat-ID defaults are intentional.

18. How to use this reference

For an action, read its current scope and preview first. For an unavailable control, check chart/target compatibility. For a persisted setting, inspect the panel's effective state rather than relying only on a source default. For an export, inspect record type and timestamps. For an alert, distinguish monitoring, formatting, capture and delivery.
