Gold Dual Reaction M5
Short Description
Gold Dual Reaction M5 is an automated Expert Advisor for XAUUSD and GOLD on MetaTrader 5. It uses confirmed M5 candle reactions together with CCI market context and includes position sizing, spread control and account protection functions.
Overview
Gold Dual Reaction M5 is designed specifically for automated trading on the GOLD / XAUUSD market.
The Expert Advisor analyzes completed M5 candles and evaluates price reactions together with internal CCI-based market conditions.
BUY and SELL opportunities are processed by separate trading engines.
The strategy does not continuously open positions and does not use grid trading or martingale lot multiplication.
Signal thresholds used by the trading strategy are handled internally. The public input parameters are focused mainly on position sizing, execution control and risk management so that the EA remains simple to configure.
Trading Logic
The BUY engine looks for a specific reaction after downward movement within a completed M5 candle.
The SELL engine looks for a specific reaction after upward movement within a completed M5 candle.
CCI is used as an additional internal market-context filter.
Signals are evaluated using completed candles. The exact numerical entry thresholds are part of the internal strategy logic and are therefore not exposed as adjustable public parameters.
BUY and SELL engines use separate Magic Numbers and are managed independently.
Position Sizing
Two position-sizing modes are available.
Fixed Lot mode uses the lot size specified by the user.
Risk Percent mode calculates the position size according to account balance, the configured risk percentage and the actual Stop Loss distance.
The calculation uses MetaTrader's symbol and account specifications, including account-currency conversion.
If the calculated Risk Percent lot size is below the broker's minimum tradable volume, the trade is skipped rather than increasing the lot size above the requested risk level.
Max Lot provides an additional upper limit regardless of the selected sizing method.
Execution Protection
The EA includes a maximum spread filter.
A new position is not opened when the current spread exceeds the configured Max Spread value.
For GOLD calculations inside this EA, 1 strategy pip represents 0.01 in GOLD price.
For example:
50 pips = 0.50 price units.
100 pips = 1.00 price unit.
MaxDeviationPoints is expressed in MetaTrader points and is separate from the strategy pip measurement above.
Trading Direction
The following trading modes are available:
Both
Buy Only
Sell Only
This allows the user to operate both strategy engines or independently disable one direction without modifying the internal trading logic.
Daily Loss Guard
The Daily Loss Guard monitors account equity relative to the equity recorded at the beginning of the current broker trading day.
If the configured daily loss percentage is reached, new entries are blocked until the next broker day.
The guard prevents new entries only. It does not forcibly close an existing open position.
Once triggered, the daily lock remains active for the rest of that broker day.
Equity Drawdown Guard
The Equity Drawdown Guard monitors account equity relative to the highest equity recorded since the EA was initialized.
If the configured drawdown percentage is reached, new entries are blocked.
The protection does not automatically close existing positions.
Once triggered, the Equity Drawdown Guard remains locked until the EA is reinitialized or restarted.
Restarting or reinitializing the EA also starts a new equity-peak reference period.
Spread and Broker Conditions
Gold trading conditions can differ considerably between brokers.
Different spreads, price feeds, execution speeds, slippage, commissions, swaps, contract specifications and trading sessions can affect entry execution, exit execution, trade frequency and overall results.
For this reason, users should test the EA with the historical data and trading specifications of the broker that will be used for live trading.

The reference environment used for testing this Expert Advisor is:

These settings describe the reference testing environment. They are not technical requirements that restrict the EA to a particular broker.
The EA can operate on compatible GOLD / XAUUSD symbols from other brokers, but results can differ.
Account Currency
The published reference environment uses a JPY account.
Using another account currency can change converted profit and loss values, margin values and the monetary values displayed in account statistics.
The EA's Risk Percent calculation uses the account's own currency when calculating the approximate financial risk to the Stop Loss.
Leverage
The reference environment uses leverage up to 1:2000.
Leverage primarily affects required margin and available free margin.
For the same symbol, lot size, entry price, exit price and price movement, leverage by itself does not directly multiply or reduce the resulting trading profit or loss.
However, lower leverage increases the amount of margin required to maintain a position and can therefore reduce the position capacity available to the account.
Reference Capital
The reference testing environment uses an account balance of JPY 100,000 or more.
This does not mean that JPY 100,000 eliminates trading risk.
Position size should always be selected according to the user's own financial situation and acceptable risk.
Risk Percent Mode on Smaller Accounts
Because this strategy can use a relatively wide protective Stop Loss, a low Risk Percent setting on a smaller account may calculate a position size below the broker's minimum lot.
When this happens, the EA intentionally skips the trade instead of increasing the position size.
Users operating smaller accounts should understand this behavior before selecting Risk Percent mode.
Dashboard
Gold Dual Reaction M5 includes an English information dashboard directly on the chart.
The dashboard displays the current EA status, symbol, broker, account currency, leverage, position-sizing mode, balance, equity, free margin, current spread, Daily Loss Guard status, Equity Drawdown status, BUY engine status, SELL engine status, SELL cooldown status and current EA positions.
The dashboard is informational and does not alter the internal entry conditions.
Netting and Hedging Accounts
The EA supports MetaTrader 5 account environments while providing additional protection for netting accounts.
On a hedging account, the BUY and SELL engines can maintain their own positions according to their separate Magic Numbers.
On a netting account, ProtectNettingAccounts can prevent a new EA position from unintentionally reducing or reversing an existing position on the same symbol.
This protection is especially useful when manual positions or another trading system are also operating on GOLD.
SELL Cooldown
The SELL engine includes an internal cooldown period following the closing of a SELL strategy position.
During this cooldown period, the SELL engine does not open a new position.
The dashboard displays the remaining cooldown status.
Default Input Parameters
Trading Mode

Controls which trading engines are enabled.
GDR_BOTH allows BUY and SELL signals.
GDR_BUY_ONLY allows BUY signals only.
GDR_SELL_ONLY allows SELL signals only.
Position Sizing
PositionSizeMode = GDR_FIXED_LOT
Selects Fixed Lot or Risk Percent position sizing.
FixedLot = 0.01
Lot size used when PositionSizeMode is set to Fixed Lot.
RiskPercent = 0.50
Percentage of account balance used for approximate Stop Loss risk calculation when Risk Percent mode is selected.
If the calculated lot is below the broker minimum, the trade is skipped.
MaxLot = 0.20
Maximum volume the EA is permitted to open.
This setting acts as a hard position-size cap.
Execution Protection
MaxSpreadPips = 100.0
Maximum permitted spread before a new entry is blocked.
The EA defines 1 strategy pip on GOLD as 0.01 price units.
MaxDeviationPoints = 40
Maximum execution deviation passed to MetaTrader.
This value is expressed in MetaTrader points.
Daily Loss Guard

Enables or disables the Daily Loss Guard.
DailyLossLimitPercent = 5.0
Blocks new entries after account equity has declined by the specified percentage relative to the equity recorded at the beginning of the broker day.
Existing trades are not automatically closed.
Equity Drawdown Guard

Enables or disables the Equity Drawdown Guard.
EquityDrawdownLimitPercent = 15.0
Blocks new entries when account equity has declined by the specified percentage from the highest equity recorded since EA initialization.
Existing trades are not automatically closed.
Display and Compatibility

Displays the English EA status dashboard on the chart.
ShowReferenceEnvironmentWarnings = true
Displays informational notices when the current environment differs from the reference test environment.
These notices do not prevent trading.
ProtectNettingAccounts = true
Prevents the EA from unintentionally netting or reversing another position on the same GOLD symbol when operating on a MetaTrader netting account.
Advanced Settings
BuyMagicNumber = 12345
Magic Number used by the BUY strategy engine.
SellMagicNumber = 54321
Magic Number used by the SELL strategy engine.
Normally these values should not be changed unless the user understands MetaTrader Magic Number management.
Suggested Setup Procedure
Open a GOLD / XAUUSD chart in MetaTrader 5.
Set the chart to M5.
Attach Gold Dual Reaction M5.
Enable Algo Trading.
Select the desired position-sizing mode.
Check Max Lot and Max Spread settings for your broker.
Confirm that the dashboard shows READY before relying on automated operation.
Before live trading, perform a Strategy Tester test using the broker and symbol specification that will be used for trading.
Important Notes
The reference test environment is Exness Standard with JPY account currency, JPY 100,000 or more in reference capital and leverage up to 1:2000.
Different brokers and account environments can produce materially different results.
The EA does not guarantee that results from one broker can be reproduced on another broker.
Spread and execution conditions are especially important for automated GOLD trading.
Historical test results are not a guarantee of future results.
