SJ Gold Mining EA is a fully automated grid trading expert advisor optimized for XAUUSD (Gold) on M15, built with a suite of intelligent drawdown control and risk management systems that go well beyond a standard  grid.

KEY FEATURES

1. Dual-Indicator Entry System

Entry signals are generated by a built-in new own indicator  combined with an RSI confirmation filter. A trade is only opened when both indicators agree, dramatically reducing false entries.

2. Smart Grid

When price moves against an open position, the EA adds grid orders at a configurable pip distance with a lot multiplier (default 1.1x). The grid is fully capped by a MaxOpenTrades limit. Grid spacing and multiplier are independently adjustable, letting you tune aggression to your account size and risk appetite.

3. Trend Reversal Drawdown Control (Unique Feature)

This is the EA's most advanced protection system. When a grid is in drawdown and the entry indicators flip to confirm the opposite direction, the EA activates a 3-stage response:

• Grid Freeze — stops adding new grid orders into a confirmed counter-trend move
• Progressive Target Reduction — automatically lowers the profit target as drawdown deepens:
  • Stage 1 (default DD > 1%): target reduced to 75%
  • Stage 2 (default DD > 2%): target reduced to 50%
  • Stage 3 (default DD > 3%): accept breakeven / near-zero exit
• Hard Exit — if floating loss reaches a configurable threshold (default 2.5%) while trend is reversed, all positions are closed immediately to cap the drawdown
• Confirmation Bars — reversal signal must persist for 1–5 bars before any action fires, eliminating noise-triggered exits

4. Technical Exit

When the indicator    signal that originally triggered a trade disappears, the EA can close the position automatically — regardless of profit target. This keeps the EA aligned with the market instead of holding losing trades indefinitely waiting for a fixed dollar target.

5. Auto Money Management

Lot size scales automatically with account balance using the formula (Balance / Base Capital) × 0.01 . Profit targets scale proportionally with lot size, so the EA self-adjusts as the account grows or shrinks. Auto MM can be disabled in favor of a fixed lot size.

6. Risk-Based Lot Sizing

Optionally override Auto MM with a percentage-of-balance risk model. Set your risk per trade (e.g. 1%) and the EA calculates the correct lot size based on the actual stop loss distance — whether fixed pips or ATR-derived.

7. Flexible Stop Loss & Take Profit

• Stop Loss: Fixed pips or ATR-based (period and multiplier configurable)
• Take Profit: Disabled (use profit targets), fixed pips, or Risk: Reward ratio (e.g. 1:2)
• All stops are validated against broker minimum stop levels before every order, with a safety buffer to prevent Error 130

8. Breakeven & Two-Phase Trailing Stop

• Breakeven: Moves SL to entry + offset once a configurable pip profit is reached
• Trailing Stop: Two-phase system — Phase 1 locks breakeven, Phase 2 activates distance-based trailing. A minimum step size prevents unnecessary SL micro-adjustments. Works independently per trade.

9. Emergency Cut Loss

A session-level safety net. If total floating loss exceeds a set percentage of the starting balance (e.g. 5%), all trades are closed immediately. Calculated from the starting balance at EA launch, not the current balance, preventing gradual exposure creep from being ignored.

10. Max Drawdown & Daily Loss Limit Protection

• Max Drawdown: Halts all new trading for the session if equity drawdown from session start exceeds a set percentage (e.g. 10%)
• Daily Loss Limit: Blocks new trades (or closes all trades) if daily P&L drops below a percentage of the day-start balance (e.g. 3%). Automatically resets each new trading day.

11. Economic News Filter

Connects to a live news feed (ForexFactory calendar via nfs.faireconomy.media ) and automatically:

• Blocks new trades X minutes before high-impact events
• Optionally closes all trades at breakeven before news
• Resumes trading Y minutes after the event passes
• Filterable by impact level (High / Medium / Low) and keyword (NFP, CPI, FOMC, etc.)
• Draws vertical news lines on the chart for visual reference

12. Session Time Filter & Friday Close

• Set your trading window in local time — the EA converts automatically to broker time using auto-detected or manual GMT offset
• Stops new trades before the Friday market close (configurable time)
• Optionally closes all open positions at Friday close
