Stop Loss Assistant for MT5 — Semi-Automated Risk Management EA for Scalping and Day Trading
Smart SL Scalp Assistant is a semi-automated trading assistant for MT5 designed to help traders quickly manage Stop Loss, Lot Size, Risk Management, and Take Profit.
In addition to Forex, it also supports Pip calculations for XAUUSD / Gold and BTCUSD / Bitcoin.
Trade entry decisions remain entirely with the trader. Once the Stop Loss level is determined, the EA automatically calculates the lot size based on the account balance, selected Risk %, and the distance to the SL. It also calculates Take Profit, estimated loss, and estimated profit based on the selected Risk/Reward ratio.
To ensure smooth operation during long trading sessions, the EA is designed to minimize chart refresh load and unnecessary internal processing. It is optimized for responsive use during scalping and day trading while keeping PC resource usage as low as possible.
This EA is designed primarily for semi-automated trading support on live charts.
Basic operation can also be tested in the MT5 Strategy Tester, but some functions may not operate normally in the tester environment.
For actual operation testing, using a demo account or a regular live chart is recommended.
Main features include chart-based BUY / SELL execution, fast asynchronous order handling, management of up to 4 positions, individual P1–P4 closing, CLOSE ALL, automatic SL placement, manual SL dragging, risk calculation, Spread Filter, MA proximity push notifications, Balance / Equity / Current P/L display, enlarged display mode, and Japanese / English UI switching.
AUTO SL uses confirmed fractals on the current chart timeframe.
For BUY trades, the EA uses a confirmed swing low.
For SELL trades, it uses a confirmed swing high.
The Stop Loss is placed outside the swing level by the current spread distance.
By pressing the AUTO SL button repeatedly, the Stop Loss can be moved step by step to older confirmed swing points. After automatic placement, the SL line can also be fine-tuned manually by dragging it on the chart.
The EA includes 3 MA Proximity Notification slots.
Default settings are:
- M15 SMA200
- H1 SMA200
- H4 SMA200
The timeframe and MA period can be configured individually for each slot.
When price approaches an MA within the specified distance, the EA can send a push notification to the MT5 mobile app.
After a notification is sent, monitoring is re-enabled only after price moves away by the configured re-arm distance.
The re-arm distance can be set using a multiplier, with the default value set to 1.5 times the notification distance. This helps reduce repeated notifications around the same MA level.
Pip calculation supports automatic detection.
For Forex pairs, the Pip size is automatically calculated based on common 3-digit and 5-digit pricing formats.
Dedicated Pip size settings are also available for Gold and Bitcoin.
The Spread Filter allows separate maximum spread settings for:
- Forex
- Gold
- Bitcoin
If the current spread reaches or exceeds the configured limit, new entries are blocked.
All monetary calculations use the MT5 account currency, so the EA is not limited to JPY / USD / EUR accounts.
The chart UI can be switched between Japanese and English from the input parameters.
When sending an order, the EA checks which order filling mode is supported by the current broker and symbol, and selects a compatible mode from:
FOK / IOC / RETURN
In addition, the EA performs an OrderCheck before sending the order to verify conditions such as Stop Loss, lot size, margin, and order filling method.
Smart SL Scalp Assistant does not automatically decide when to enter the market.

Manual Line Quick Delete
A new feature is planned to make the management of manually drawn horizontal lines and trend lines faster and easier.
- Automatically displays small delete buttons for newly drawn horizontal lines and trend lines
- Delete an unnecessary line with one click
- Use the ALL × button to delete all registered manual lines at once
- Does not affect SL / TP lines managed by Smart SL itself
- Can be enabled or disabled
The traditional “select line → delete” process is reduced to a single click.
This allows traders to quickly remove unnecessary support/resistance levels and trend lines during scalping or day trading without taking their attention away from the chart.
