Volatility compression breakout system for XAUUSD M1
Most automated systems for gold begin trading the moment they are attached
to a chart. Spike Hunter Pro does not. It stays flat and measures, waiting
for one specific market condition: volatility contracting into a tight,
quantifiable compression. Only when that compression resolves into a genuine
expansion move does the system commit capital, and it commits in the
direction of the break.
The result is a lower trade frequency with a higher quality of entry. Every
position originates from a measured release of energy, never from an
arbitrary tick.

TWO-PHASE ENTRY CONFIRMATION
Every closed bar is evaluated against two independent tests. Both must pass
before any capital is committed.
PHASE 1 - COMPRESSION
Volatility must contract and remain contracted for a defined number of
consecutive bars, measured using a bands-inside-envelope relationship. If
compression is absent, no position is opened under any circumstance.
PHASE 2 - EXPANSION
Once compression is confirmed, the system requires a decisive expansion bar.
Price must close beyond the volatility band and the candle body must exceed
a live ATR multiple. Marginal penetrations of the band are rejected. Only a
substantial body qualifies as confirmation.
When both phases confirm, the first position opens in the direction of the
breakout. The signal carries a defined expiry measured in bars, so a stale
setup is never traded.

RISK MANAGEMENT
FLOATING LOSS CUT-OFF
You define a maximum floating loss per cycle in account currency. When that
figure is reached, every position in the cycle is closed immediately. This
is an unconditional exit at a threshold you set yourself.
DAILY STAND-DOWN
You define how many losing cycles are acceptable in a single day. Once that
count is reached, the system stops opening new cycles until the next server
day. This removes consecutive-loss escalation from the equation.
FUNDING VERIFICATION
Before any order is transmitted, the system validates available margin
against the broker's own trade model. If a position cannot be funded, the
cycle is closed deliberately rather than left exposed by a rejected order.
SESSION AWARENESS
Orders are only transmitted inside the instrument's published trading
sessions, preventing rejected entries around rollover.
