Surge BTC Engine 1: Breakout, Five Strategies for the First Explosive Move
Yesterday I introduced Surge BTC. Today we look at the first of its two engines: Breakout.
THE IDEA
Bitcoin spends a lot of time building ranges. When price finally leaves a range, the first move is often the strongest and fastest. The Breakout engine is designed to be positioned before that move happens, not to chase it afterwards.
HOW IT WORKS
- The engine reads Bitcoin's structure on D1, H4 and H1 to find the levels that matter.
- Pending stop orders are placed just beyond those levels, above for a breakout and below for a breakdown.
- When price breaks the level, the order is triggered automatically. Entries are executed on H1, M15 and M5 depending on the strategy.
FIVE SPECIALISED STRATEGIES
The Breakout engine contains five strategies, each with its own personality:
- Spartacus
- Legion
- Phantom
- Titan
- Centurion
Each one has its own entry offset, Stop Loss, Take Profit, breakeven and trailing profile. Together they cover everything from large swing breakouts to fast intraday moves, so the EA is not dependent on a single market condition.
WHY FIVE AND NOT ONE?
Different breakouts behave differently. A daily-range breakout may run for hours, while an M5 break may need a quick, tight exit. Giving each strategy its own management rules lets every trade be handled in the way that fits its timeframe.
TRADE MANAGEMENT
Once in profit, positions are managed with breakeven, step trailing stop and profit locking, so a winning trade can keep running while the gain is progressively secured.
Tomorrow: Engine 2, Continue, and the Spark, Surge and Storm signal ranks.
