Every candle timer tells you how long the candle has left. Candle Timer Pulse also tells you whether the candle is already big, and measures that on the symbol's own history at the same hour of day, because a 16:00 candle and a 23:00 candle are not the same thing.
What you see
Beside the forming candle: the time left, then the candle's size so far as a multiple of the usual candle at this hour (for example 1.4x), coloured grey when quiet (under 0.7x), aqua when normal and pink when big (1.3x or more).
The panel adds:
- Size so far, in points,
- Usual and big candle at this hour (half of past candles were smaller; 1 in 5 were bigger),
- Spread now,
- Next open: Tokyo, London or New York, on each city's own clock.
The figures
On gold H1 (one broker's server time, last 200 candles per hour), the usual 16:00 candle was 3119 points, the usual 07:00 candle 1287 points and the usual 23:00 candle 645 points. On EURUSD M15, the usual 16:00 candle was 70.0 points against 20.0 points at 01:00. Every figure is recomputed by a separate implementation before each release.
No repainting
Only finished candles are counted. The forming candle is compared as it unfolds and never becomes part of the history until it closes.
Settings in brief
Past candles used (200 by default), the clock for hours of day, colours and countdown size, panel corner and size, a key (H) that hides or shows everything, and alerts before the candle closes or when it becomes big for its hour.
