Trade Panel & Execution

The Trade Panel is the command center for your manual executions. It bridges the gap between chart analysis and precise order placement by automating all underlying calculations.

1. Risk Management Modes

AstroTrade offers three distinct ways to define your exposure for every trade:

  • Risk % (Dynamic Compounding)

Enter the percentage of your account balance you are willing to lose if the Stop Loss is hit (e.g., 1.5%).

Logic: Lot Size = (Balance * Risk%) / (SL Distance * Tick Value)
Pro Tip: This is the safest way to trade, as it automatically scales your position size based on your account growth or drawdown.

  • Fixed Cash ($)
Enter the exact dollar amount you are willing to lose (e.g., $100). The system will calculate the lot size so that the loss never exceeds this value, regardless of how far the SL is placed.

  • Fixed Lots
Traditional manual lot entry. Note that even in this mode, the panel will show you exactly how many dollars you are risking based on your SL line position.

2. Visual Interactive Trading

Forget manual price entry. Use the "Lines" toggle to activate the visual overlay:

  • Entry Line (Blue/White): Move this to set your Buy/Sell limit or stop. If set at the current price, it acts as a Market order.
  • Stop Loss (Red): Drag this to define your exit. As you drag, the panel updates the "Potential Loss" in real-time.
  • Take Profit (Green): Drag this to set your target. The panel will instantly show you the Reward-to-Risk (RR) ratio.

3. Reward-to-Risk (RR) Monitoring

Professional trading is about the mass. AstroTrade displays your RR ratio live. If your TP is twice as far as your SL, it shows 2.0R. If your strategy requires a minimum 1.5R, you can visually ensure this condition is met before clicking execute.

4. Execution Buttons

  • BUY / SELL: Instant market execution with all calculations applied.
  • PENDING: Places a Limit or Stop order based on where the Entry line is relative to the current price.
  • CLEAR: Removes all visual lines and resets the risk parameters.
