Fair Value Gap (FVG) — The Imbalance Zone

A Fair Value Gap forms when price moves so aggressively that it leaves an imbalance between candles — meaning not all orders were filled during that move. This creates a “gap” where the market is inefficient.

Price often returns to these zones, not randomly, but to rebalance and fill remaining orders. For traders, FVGs become high-probability areas to look for entries in the direction of the trend.

There was a time I couldn’t sit through a quiet market. If nothing was moving, I felt like I was wasting time. So I’d force trades… random entries, weak setups, anything just to feel active.
