I once had a clean setup. Everything made sense — trend, structure, entry… all aligned. I entered with confidence. A few minutes later, price started going against me. Not aggressively, just slowly… enough to make me uncomfortable. I kept watching it tick by tick, thinking maybe I got in too early. Then I closed it. Small loss.
Ten minutes later, the market did exactly what I originally planned. Perfect move. Clean. No hesitation. I just sat there staring at the chart, realizing I didn’t lose because of analysis… I lost because I couldn’t sit still. That day I understood something most traders ignore: sometimes the hardest skill is doing nothing. Since then, I don’t babysit trades anymore. I set the plan, accept the risk, and let it play out. Because closing early out of fear is just another form of loss — it just feels safer in the moment.
