Quantum Trader Gold
A quantitative Expert Advisor built exclusively for gold (XAUUSD). It reads market trend strength through a carry-style signal, sizes every trade by conviction, and protects each position with a real server-side stop loss. No martingale. No grid. No averaging down.
Why Quantum Trader Gold
Built for one market. The model is tuned for gold, not stretched across dozens of symbols. Recommended timeframe: H1.
Decisions on closed bars only. The signal is evaluated once per closed bar, so there is no intrabar noise and no repainting.
Conviction-based position sizing. Weak signals trade small or not at all; strong signals trade larger, always within a hard risk cap.
Server-side protection. Stop loss and take profit are attached to every order. Break-even and the optional trailing stop move the real position stop, not a hidden one.
One position at a time per direction. The EA never stacks or averages into a losing trade.
Built-in safety layers. Equity kill switch, equity-curve protection, spread filter and session filter.
How it works
Quantum Trader Gold compares a short-term and a long-term price average to measure trend strength. The reading is filtered (it is ignored when volatility is compressed or the trend is too weak), normalised statistically, and scaled to a target volatility. The result is a single conviction value that decides direction and trade size. When conviction fades, the position is closed.
The model parameters are compiled into the product and are not exposed. The inputs you see are the ones that matter for risk and execution.
Risk management
Risk per trade is calculated from the real stop-loss distance (ATR-based) and your account balance.
Maximum lot size and a cap on the conviction multiplier limit exposure.
Equity kill switch: halts trading and can close all positions when the daily loss limit is reached, then resets the next day.
Equity-curve protection: automatically reduces position size when the equity curve weakens.
Optional weekend protection: closes positions and stops new entries before the weekend.
Expectations
This is a trend-following style system, not a high win-rate scalper. In testing, roughly four trades in ten were winners, with winners considerably larger than losers on average. Drawdowns and losing streaks are part of the profile: choose a risk level you are comfortable with, and start with a lower risk per trade on a demo account.
Recommended setup
Symbol: XAUUSD (or your broker's gold symbol). Timeframe: H1.
Account: netting or hedging. Low-spread / ECN-type account and a reliable VPS recommended.
Recommended balance: 1,000 or more (or the equivalent in your account currency). Very small accounts are limited by the minimum lot size.
Default settings are the validated configuration. No set file is required.
Session filter uses broker server time (default 07:00–21:00).
Always test on a demo account first.
