The Eight Signals

The EA continuously scores the market across eight distinct, independently-coded strategies: an EMA 8/21 crossover for short-term momentum shifts; an RSI(14) extreme reading combined with a confirming engulfing candle; standalone bullish/bearish engulfing pattern detection; Bollinger Band breakout detection for volatility expansion; a Fair Value Gap (FVG) imbalance scanner on M1; a higher-timeframe (M5) trend filter cross-checked against the M1 entry signal; wick-rejection detection where rejection wicks exceed twice the candle body; and a three-candle momentum continuation check. Each signal casts an independent vote for buy or sell pressure, and a trade is only opened once the required minimum number of signals align in the same direction — the default requires at least three of eight to agree, configurable by the user.

Risk Architecture, Not an Afterthought

Eight Ball Gold's position sizing is calculated dynamically from account balance and current market volatility rather than fixed lot values, using an ATR(14)-scaled stop-loss distance to determine exact risk exposure per trade as a percentage of balance. Take-profit and stop-loss levels are both derived from real-time ATR readings rather than arbitrary fixed-pip values, meaning the EA's risk parameters adapt automatically whether gold is trading in a tight range or an expansive news-driven move. A built-in spread filter blocks entries when spread widens beyond a user-defined threshold — a critical safeguard on an instrument where execution quality determines profitability. An editable news-window lockout suspends trading around user-specified high-impact release times. A daily profit target and daily loss limit act as circuit breakers, automatically closing all EA-opened positions and halting new entries once either threshold is reached for the trading day. Maximum concurrent trade count is capped and fully configurable.

Built-In Professional Dashboard

A live on-chart panel displays real-time EA status (running or halted), current open trade count, live spread with color-coded pass/fail indication, running daily profit/loss percentage, real-time buy and sell signal counts as they're being evaluated, and news-lockout state — giving the user full visibility into exactly why the EA is or isn't trading at any given moment, without needing to check the terminal log.
