Two complete strategies, one intelligent switch
Using ADX to measure trend strength, this EA operates in one of three states on every single bar:
- Strong Trend Detected (ADX ≥ 34): Enters on a clean, confirmed Donchian(40) breakout in the direction of the EMA50/200 trend — "clean" meaning the breakout must clear the level by a real margin, not scrape past it. No fixed take-profit here: the position trails the market with an ATR-based stop, letting genuine trends run their full course. A pyramid mechanism adds a second position once the trade proves itself in profit, compounding gains on the strongest moves.
- Range-Bound Market Detected (ADX ≤ 18): Switches to mean-reversion mode — buying pullbacks to the lower Bollinger Band with RSI confirmation, targeting a return to the midline with a tight ATR stop.
- Ambiguous Conditions (ADX between 18-34): The EA does nothing. This "no man's land" between clear trend and clear range is where most false signals live — sitting out is a feature, not a limitation.
