FX Duo Trend Sentinel — EURUSD & USDJPY
A long-only breakout trend-following system designed to run on two charts at the same time: one instance on EURUSD and one on USDJPY. The two long legs carry offsetting USD exposure, so the pair works as a built-in natural hedge — what hurts one leg often helps the other.
Strategy highlights
- Multi-filter trend confirmation — entries require several independent trend and momentum conditions to agree before any trade is opened.
- Hard stop-loss and take-profit on every position, volatility-adaptive — no martingale, no grid, no averaging into losers, long-only.

Risk engineering (the boring parts done right)
- Position size is normalized to the broker's lot step / min / max limits, with a margin pre-check before every order — the EA tells you the minimum capital it needs instead of firing invalid orders.
- Transient server errors are retried a limited number of times; every other error is logged, never looped.
- Works on any broker symbol suffix (EURUSD.a, EURUSDm, …).
Recommended use
- Symbols: EURUSD+USDJPY must run simultaneously, there is hedging involved. EURUSD + USDJPY (attach one instance to each chart, same magic number or different — both work).
- Timeframe: H1 (higher-timeframe filters are built in).
- Minimum capital: about 500 USD per 0.01 lot total across the two charts (adjust to your broker's contract size and leverage).
- Run it in the Strategy Tester on your own broker's data first; spreads, swaps and slippage differ between brokers.
