Chart Dashboard – Countdown, Symbol Info, Watchlist & Timeframe Switcher
Chart Dashboard puts the things you check all day in one clean panel set on your chart: how long until the candle closes, the spread, bid/ask, today's change, server time and whether the market is open. It also adds a one-click watchlist and timeframe switcher. Everything is set up from a settings window right on the chart, so you never have to open the indicator's properties again.
It is a utility. It does not open trades, give signals or change your orders.
WHAT YOU GET
1. Candle countdown
- Shows the time left until the current candle closes, down to the second.
- Can follow the price line or stay fixed in a corner of the screen.
- Turns green when the candle is above its open and red when it is below.
- Track the chart's timeframe or any other one (for example, an H4 countdown on an M15 chart).
- Shows "CLOSED" when the market is closed.
2. Symbol info strip
- Symbol, timeframe, spread, Bid, Ask, daily change (price and %), server time with its UTC offset, and market OPEN/CLOSED status.
- Spread in points or pips, with optional warning colours when the spread gets wide.
- Show only the fields you want. Horizontal or vertical layout, and a compact mode.
- Click the strip to collapse it to one field.
3. Price box
- A large Bid or Ask label in any corner, coloured green/red against the candle open.
4. On-chart watchlist
- Buttons for your symbols: click one to switch the chart.
- Use your Market Watch list (updates automatically) or your own list.
- Works with broker symbol names such as EURUSD.m or US30cash; prefixes and suffixes are found automatically.
- Symbols are coloured by today's change, and hovering shows Bid, spread and daily %.
- Paging for long lists, plus a button to show or hide the panel.
- Ctrl+Click opens the symbol in a new chart with the same template and dashboard settings.
- Optionally switch other open charts to the same symbol.
5. Timeframe switcher
- One-click buttons for the timeframes you choose. Pick any of the 21 MT5 timeframes from a simple list.
- Ctrl+Click opens that timeframe in a new chart.
EASY SETTINGS WINDOW
- Click the gear button next to the info strip to open it.
- Tabs for Countdown, Symbol Info, Watchlist and Timeframes. Each has an on/off switch at the top, then Appearance, Functionality and Position sections.
- Changes show on the chart immediately and are saved for that chart.
- Change colours, fonts, sizes, opacity, layout and position. Each tab has "Reset to defaults".
- Theme button: Auto (follows your chart background), Dark or Light.
PLACEMENT
- Six positions for every element: top-left, top-center, top-right, bottom-left, bottom-center and bottom-right.
- Panels in the same corner stack neatly instead of overlapping.
- Optionally moves out of the way of MT5's One-Click Trading panel.
LOOK AND FEEL
- Clean, modern panels with rounded corners, soft shadows and smooth hover effects.
- Adapts automatically to dark and light charts.
- Sharp on high-resolution (high-DPI) screens.
- Lightweight: it only redraws what changed.
HOW TO START
1. Attach Chart Dashboard to any chart.
2. Everything appears with sensible defaults.
3. Click the gear button to adjust what you see and where.
That's it. No hotkeys to learn.
GOOD TO KNOW
- Works on any symbol and timeframe: forex, metals, indices, crypto and stocks.
- Uses only data from your terminal. No DLLs and no internet connection needed.
- To run two copies on one chart (for example, two countdowns for different timeframes), give each a different Instance ID in the inputs.
- Advanced options (fonts, colour themes, spread warning levels, symbol prefix/suffix) are also available in the indicator inputs.
