Stoch Quad Rotation Signal detects high-probability trading opportunities by analyzing the simultaneous alignment of four stochastic oscillators running at different speeds — from fast scalping-level to slow macro-trend level. When all four agree, the signal carries weight. When they diverge, the indicator stays silent.

HOW IT WORKS

Most stochastic-based indicators use a single oscillator, which generates many false signals in choppy or trending markets. Stoch Quad Rotation takes a fundamentally different approach:

Four oscillators. Four perspectives. One confirmed signal.

Stoch 1 (Fast) - K:9 - Reacts quickly, catches early momentum
Stoch 2 (Medium) - K:14 - Confirms the move, filters noise
Stoch 3 (Slow) - K:40 - Validates the trend direction
Stoch 4 (X-Slow) - K:60 - Provides macro context

A signal is only generated when these oscillators rotate together through oversold or overbought zones — hence the name "Quad Rotation." This multi-speed convergence dramatically reduces false positives and identifies moments of genuine market rotation.

SIGNAL TYPES (8 categories)

1. Regular Signals
Classic oversold/overbought crossings of Stoch1 through the configurable threshold levels (default 20/80). Clean, simple, confirmed.

2. Super Signals
All four stochastics simultaneously in extreme zones, with Stoch1 beginning to reverse. The strongest and rarest signal — maximum alignment across all timeframes.

3. Divergence Signals
Bullish: Price makes a lower low while stochastics make a higher low.
Bearish: Price makes a higher high while stochastics make a lower high.
Detected over a configurable lookback window.

4. Candlestick Pattern Signals
Automatic detection of Bullish/Bearish Engulfing, Hammer and Inverted Hammer, and Shooting Star. Only triggered when stochastic context confirms the pattern direction.

5. Flag Pattern Signals
Automatic bull flag and bear flag detection, normalized using ATR to adapt to any instrument's volatility. Detects post-consolidation breakouts in the direction of the prior trend leg.

6. ABCD Harmonic Pattern Signals
Detects classic ABCD harmonic structures using Fibonacci ratios (0.382, 0.5, 0.618 retracements; 1.272 and 1.618 extensions). Tolerance configurable.

7. Momentum Zone Signals (NEW in v5.0)
Detects when all four stochastics converge in the mid-zone (30–70) and move in the same direction simultaneously. This signals momentum building before a potential breakout — a unique feature not found in standard stochastic indicators.

8. Quad Cross Signals (NEW in v5.0)
Fires when at least 3 of 4 stochastics simultaneously cross their %K above (or below) their %D signal line. This multi-timeframe K/D cross confirmation filters out isolated crosses and identifies genuine momentum shifts.

ANTI-REPAINTING — GUARANTEED

Every signal is calculated exclusively on confirmed closed bars (bar index rates_total - 2). The current forming bar is always cleared. Signals never change retroactively.

This makes the indicator:

SIGNAL SCORING SYSTEM (1–5 Stars)

Every signal receives a quality score based on multiple confirming factors:

Signal base (Regular = 1, Super/Divergence = 2): 1-2 points
Each additional stochastic aligned in extreme zone: 1 point per
EMA trend confirmation: 1 point
Divergence present: 1 point
Volume above average: 1 point
EMA slope momentum: 1 point
Price position vs EMA: 1 point
RSI zone confirmation: 1 point

Maximum score: 5 stars. You can set a minimum threshold — only signals meeting your quality bar are displayed and trigger alerts.

FILTERS — 7 INDEPENDENT LAYERS

Stack multiple filters to adapt to any market condition:

1. EMA Trend Filter
Three EMAs (Fast/Medium/Slow, default 20/50/200). Buy signals only when Fast > Medium > Slow. Sell signals only in the reverse alignment. Prevents trading against the macro trend.

2. EMA Slope Filter
Analyzes the slope (rate of change) of the EMAs over a configurable lookback. Ensures the trend is active, not just aligned.

3. Price vs EMA Filter
Requires price to be above the Medium EMA for buy signals, below for sell signals. Simple but effective additional confirmation.

4. RSI Confirmation Filter
Blocks buy signals when RSI is above the overbought level, sell signals when RSI is below oversold. Prevents entering already-exhausted moves.

5. MTF Higher Timeframe Filter
Checks a user-defined higher timeframe stochastic before allowing signals on the current chart. Only trades in the direction of the higher timeframe bias.

6. Volume Filter
Compares current volume against a configurable moving average. Signals with below-average volume can be filtered out, keeping only high-conviction entries.

7. Signal Cooldown
Enforces a minimum number of bars between same-direction signals. Prevents signal clustering during whipsaws and reduces overtrading.

MULTI-TIMEFRAME DASHBOARD

The built-in MTF dashboard shows the stochastic state across up to 7 timeframes simultaneously:

Each row shows: Timeframe, Current signal state (BUY / SELL / Cross Up / Cross Down / Oversold / Overbought / Neutral), and Current %K value.

Reading the MTF dashboard:
- Multiple green rows indicate strong bullish alignment
- Multiple red rows indicate strong bearish alignment
- Mixed results indicate need to wait for convergence

LIVE DASHBOARD PANEL

A compact, fully interactive panel displays real-time trading context:

Status Section
- Current trend (BULLISH / BEARISH / SIDEWAYS)
- Last detected signal and its strength
- Volume level and state (Confirms / Weak / Neutral)
- Current price and spread
- RSI value with zone indicator (when enabled)

Stochastic Section
- All four stochastic values with color coding
- OS = Oversold zone (green), OB = Overbought zone (red)
